As soon as you leave out the door of a provider's location don't ever expect them to let you back in. You gave her what they want which is the money. Especially since it your first meeting they don't owe it to you to provide once they lock the door behind you. As soon as you left the room she won and got the easy money. She seriously expected you to believe you can get condoms from the front desk of a hotel. As far as I know hotels don't provide condoms for people.
I guess the lesson to be learned from this is ask ahead if provider has condoms before exchanging money or at least bring your own. I always ask if they live alone or if anyone else is in the hotel room with them. I then check around the house / room on first meetings. Like ask to use the bathroom immediately just to see if they have someone hiding in bathroom. If I hear someone else or someone in bathroom I leave. I've also started to ask if I can put chain on door once entering and if the provider says they don't feel comfortable doing that. I leave. They might be good people who don't have someone who enters later but it best to be safe than sorry with my money and leave on a first meeting if they say no.
What happened to you is one of the reasons it sucks clients are expected to pay upfront. Stuff like that happens but not many providers are ok receiving the payment after since they feel they could get robbed.
