But on the flip side you always negotiate down, never up, so if they don't ask for it, they'll never get it. I point out to them that the well reviewed pros get paid $300.00/ hour or $550.00 for 1 1/2 hours. They've got no referneces so I'll start them at $150-200/ session. The ones that walk aren't serious and are playing games. You just need to sift through the chaff to get to the wheat.

The bottom line is that they just don't have a realistic expectation from the sugar bowl. Once they're around it enough to see what the market will bear, they'll either leave the bowl, or they'll reduce their expectation. No need to be rude to them about it, just kindly tell them that you're too far apart on the expectations. A few years ago, I'd pay $200-250/ meet, even up to $300 a few times. But, these days, I'm starting at $150 and I might go to $200. I've got a steady SGF that I pay $500/ mo, so I'm not really trying that hard to meet anyone.
