I agree with a lot of people that the hit rate on SA recently has been noticeably worse for me. I have had most of my success in the last year or so by just cold texting and reconnecting with old SBs, even one from 5+ years ago. The best thing about that is they all just continue at the rate from way back then versus the inflated rate today. Might be worth a shot for some who have been doing this awhile.
I think I am done with seeking. I just don't get it. Seems a few guys had fun with this girl on this board. She gave me her real number and real phone number. Took me to what seemed like her real residence. Pics matched her. I broke the cardinal rule and paid upfront. She took the money and told me to wait for her to get her place ready. Maybe I am an easy target. Sucks! Happy to give her phone number out if anyone wants to fuck with her. Really disappointed. Didn't think with the right head since I was attracted to her.
I have to agree with the cost of time to find someone on this app. It is excruciating. I did find that some things helped though:
1) Mention intimacy to some degree in your profile but don't be explicit about it. This ruled out all of the "I'm only looking for a platonic relationship" crazies in the app.
2) Don't drag the conversation for too long on the app. I found out that most women will ghost you after a certain point. I usually talk to them about something on their profile or their experiences on the app. By message 5 ask for their number. If they don't have a number is probably a scam.
3) As soon as you are texting, ask that you want to meet. Don't say sex or anything yet, unless you know for sure they are dtf on the first date. Some women can be very upfront but many times those are scammers. If they ask for money just say that drinks are on you but no money until you meet in person.
It is a number game after all. From around 100 people I contacted in one month:
- around 40 replied.
- 9 did not have a number or wanted money for online content.
- 3 were very clearly escorts (they usually sent their rates on the first couple of texts and asked if I was available now. Some used the same number as their listings).
- 1 deactivated their account or blocked me before I got their number.
- 5 ghosted while messaging in app.
- 10 did not want to meet after talking about expectations (money, sex, location, my time availability, etc).
- 6 I have met with.
- 1 said she only wanted something platonic (I changed my process after this).
- 1 wanted me to invest in her business and only then would consider intimacy.
- 1 I traveled to Fredericksburg to see and it was totally worth it but that was a one and done.
- 3 I keep in my hoetation.
I was very careful at only talking to people in a 20 mile radius who had good pictures and information on their profile. The one exception is the Fredericksburg girl who really talked me up and looked extra fine in her pictures.

Wonder what is the criteria.
The most important thing is if she is demanding it or you give it on your own accord. In my experience if the girl is insisting, it is almost guaranteed she is a rinser or a professional M&Ger. I have done it few times when I was a newbie, never worked in my favor. Actually it is counter-productive. But, I occasionally give a gift or gas money or baby sitting fees if I knew for sure she drove long distance or had to get a babysitter. But never more than 50. Speaking of gas money, about 2 months ago, I met a girl for the first time who refused the gas money I offered. I cast a wide net, she was 3 hr drive away. We agreed to meet half-way location. She didn't ask for anything. I was planning a possible FC session after M&G although it was not clearly communicated to her. We met for a coffee, she is a cute 25 old, much better looking than her profile pictures. We connected immediately (despite 35 year age difference) talked for about an hour. She said she was going to hang out with a friend that day, but agreed to meet next weekend. She was willing to drive to my house for 3 hrs for meet ups (after I mentioned I hate hotel scene) . I gave her $30 for the gas, but she refused it right away. Her reasoning was that she was going to meet her friend anyway, so spending for gas for the drive was on her and her car has good gas milage. I was thinking WTF, where is the catch. Fast forward we have met about 6 times so far at my house. She spends the night. Best sex I have ever had with a SB. And my offer for 300 per meet, she accepted without hesitation. I am still scratching my head wondering where the catch is. She is 8/10 both looks and body, clean, nice smelling, loves sex, and most of all minimum chat between meets. She works two jobs, has a nice car, and on time arrival. I never believed in Unicorns. May be I have found one. Guys, keep on hunting, be smart and most off all be positive and treat the girls well. Listening to them and taking interest of their life and offering some honest advice go a long way. But keep your distance so that they don't catch feelings. And, they don't like clingy old men.

Gents, I'm not sure what to say. She's real, lives in Manassas and was dtf with me. Although she's a one and done for me, I enjoyed the "one". She's not new to the game. Seemed mechanical and semi-pro. I guess this is what YMMV means.

Nothing that can be recorded. Before anyone says "just don't talk about anything explicit" well of course not. But, you can't stop a girl on a phone or video call from asking something like "So what about my profile on SA did you like?" or "How much allowance are you willing to pay?" or some shit like that. I just don't ever want to be in a position that I have to explain why I was on a call with a 22 why / o from what is basically a SW site. It's just not a good look (for me).
If a call works for others, right on and to your point I can see the value in it. It's just not something I'm comfortable doing, the risk isn't worth it. To me.

I been using reward points and day use this week. $200-$300 plus most of the hotels at Tysons are fully book. Fairfax Marriott today was out of king bedrooms. Got 2 full beds, when I only needed one. Summer time is when I end up using most of my reward points.

Same on last weekend. And Dayuse had no inventory today and very limited last weekend. I think it's simple supply and demand. We are in prom and high school graduation season, so perhaps lots of families and friends visiting from out of town and driving up prices.
