They have the 2 places there Asia Massage and Sweet Spa, I've been going to Sweet Spa whenever I'm over that way. Was there today and saw my regular "W". 99% of the time if you call and make an appointment. That request is never actually communicated to the store. Many of these shops have someone answering their phone number that doesn't sit in the store (likely their in NY). So you get the illusion that you have an appointment, but the rule is that if a monger walks in the door looking for a rub 5 minutes before you appointment the old "bird in the hand" saying kicks in.

Sometimes you can call and make an appointment with "Miss X" just to find out that she isn't even working that day / week.

If I want to see a certain girl I'll call and ask "Who's working today". This way I'll at least get confirmation of who will be in the building but not a guarantee that she'll be available when I get there. Even if I had an appointment.

These AMPs are banking on odds that you will stay and try a different girl rather then leave and go to a different AMP. They do it regularly so the odds must be in their favor for them to stay consistent. Now Touch of Asia takes it to a different level by using Mimi to draw business in just to pawn off one of the other girls once the customer arrives. They tell one or more callers that Mimi is available but in reality she is already with a customer. Mimi will even try to switch half way through a session because a customer will complain and rightfully so, because he called and was told that she was available.

It is true that some spas forward their shop calls but the person you speak to is local. I can tell you that Oriental Body Massage in Raleigh, Studio Salon in Cary and Asian Massage Health in Clayton take calls from inside the store. I can also tell you that 4 or 5 stores in the area have the same management and those calls are mostly forwarded so it just depends.

I have found that if you stick to the same AMPs instead of hitting them all that the store will recognize your voice when you call or your face when you arrive and you will get better service without the games.
