They were just talking. I was the only guy there and they surely wasn't fighting over me nor I them. I'll be right up front with everybody they all wasn't blowing me. But how I do wish.

So the probable cause issue with me the way I see it seems to go out the window. Wishes do not constitute acts.

Now to the issue of being in a known area of drugs and prostitution does not make one a participant simply because they happen to be having a friendly chit chat. Where on Kensington ave from top to bottom is not a known drug or prostitution area? Can we not talk to anybody on the ave? Must we avoid it completely?

What these guys did, no matter how professional or unprofessional was wrong. They mentioned no phone calls on us. Nothing changed hands such as money or drugs not even a french frie. No Nobody had a prior record. There were no ever elusive PPP numbers that they seem to always be looking for. So certainly there was no probable cause. It is beyond me to agree they had any reason but to harass someone and try to show off a bit that they even stopped.

What they did was wrong. Totally wrong, simply because they are cops. The minorities have to deal with that issue on an everyday basis. These same "officers" are a joke in the Northeast where many of them live. They fear the person they treat like that may be a neighbors daughter, wife or other close aquaintance. They do not treat the women of the Northeast the way they treat the women in Kensington. They assume all women in kensington are working girls, prostitutes, and junkies. Especially if they don't live there especially if they happen to have on a torn hoodie that day. That must be a dead giveaway.

It is assumed by these guys all men in the area are jobless, johns, dealers, or druggies. Again especially if they are from another neighborhood. The feeling among the police, mainly the warrant unit is, people from other neighborhoods don't belong there and are not wanted there by them. This is why I think they are the joke in uniform that they are. They try to make the rules to fit their agenda that day. Tomorrow the rules change. It may not even take that long.

When in an area known for drugs and prostitution we can't simply be required not to talk to someone because the warrant unit "THINKS" they are known prostitutes or druggies. Otherwise many of the transit customers that exit that station would also be guilty every time one of these questionable people ask for a short or change to buy a loosie. Not to mention prostitutes and druggies do talk about other things besides prostitution and drugs. They do have friends.

So to unilaterally assume that every conversation on the streets of Kensington is about drugs and prostitution is just the other side of KOOK KOO.

The point here is is not the legality of prostitution or drugs. Quite the contrary. The point is the police, mainly the warrant unit seems to feel they can stop anyone on a whim and assume all are prostitutes, druggies, ex offenders, or Johns. That in a nutshell is wrong and always will be wrong.

I know what the limits are and try to remain within those boundaries. As stated by another monger prior, I don't recommend any of the Newbies, or anybody for that matter, to push the envelope as far as I sometimes push it. As was mentioned if they wish they will dig something up on us no matter how trivial.

What the warrant unit has to recognize is, as long as they dish out disrespect to those people that frequent and live in Kensington, no matter for what reason, then they will reap the disrespect they sow. They deserve it.

Something they have been taught by their parents, friends and associates through out their lives. They have lived it so long they think it is normal.

We all must realize, that in a position of public service, respect is tantamount to all else to reach the ends they are trying to accomplish. Without respect for the community there will always be those of us that will speak against it.

I will give that respect to those that show me the same. Now shame on those that refuse. The pen is always mightier than the sword.

I meant no disrespect to you. But the "known prostitute" thing has been held up in legal circles for probable cause as to intent on defendants. I totally understand what you mean when you say everyone on the Ave isn't a john, hooker, dealer, etc. But in a court of law you being with a known prostitute will hold up to make the officers' probable cause stand up in the light of anything they may have against you as a result of that particular encounter. You seem smarter than that. Especially to make a scene on the Ave. Trust me those officers will not forget you. I have been friends with a girl who is no longer on the K working. We were friends before she ever started on the K. We met in a 12 step group. She relapsed and went to work on the Ave. We remained friends even after her slip. We would go bowling, out to eat and even go to a movie. One night I dropped her off where she was staying a little bit off the Ave and out of nowhere a marked car was behind me with lights blaring. When she got out I heard the one officer ask her if she got paid. She told him I was not a date but he just replied "sure." They proceeded to hassle me for almost a half hour before letting me go. This was over 4 years ago. Last week I was on my way to Erie Lanes and stopped at the 7-11 on Ontario & K. Guess who was in there? That same officer. He remembered me and asked if he could talk to me outside. I was thinking here we go again! When I met him outside he actually aplogized for what happened over 4 years ago. He told me my friend had told him later that week that we truly were friends and she told him how I know her. He asked me if I have seen her because he has not. I told her she is off the Ave and off the drugs, but elaborated no further. I thanked him for the apology and left on my merry way. If this guy remembers me after over 4 years (and I have a different vehicle now) I would lay low on the Ave if I were you. Besides it is dumb to attract attention on the Ave. Go hang out with the ladies somewhere else. It will save you aggravation and quite possibly heartache.

Due to a lack of transportation, caught the bus and spent all day walking the Ave. Very chilly and not a lot of girls out. No sign of Katie this time. Also did not see Marissa (black hat). Did run into Elisa, the one I posted pics of. Had some pizza with her. Says she spent 9 days locked up. Florescent coat has been replaced by a dull purple one with a fur rimmed hood. She now hangs around Tioga park. Later met Jen near Huntington, had pizza again, LOL.

If nothing changes at work, I will be passing through Philly again on Tuesday with a few hours to kill. Maybe luck will be with me and I can catch up with Katie.

It is not surprising they rolled you like that, but I am glad they did nothing more than the standard check. Be careful antagonizing them with wise cracks. Nothing like a small bag of white powder magically appearing under your seat!

If I were up for an early morning stroll. I'm talking between 6:30 and 7:30, what should I expect to find? I'm intrigued by the notion of a joyful release before a full day, but would it be worth the trip to the K?

There were a LOT of girls out Monday around 8:30 pm despite the cold weather. As is often noted, it's really tough to recognize a specific girl or tell what she looks like on nights like that because they're so bundled up.

There were a few very tempting WSWs by the Huntindon stop and I was headed that way when I spotted a slim girl with long, dark hair by the steak shop at the corner of Lehigh and K. I thought it was Angie and looped around to pick her up. Once she was in the car, I realized that it wasn't, but I was still happy as this girl was slim, pretty girl. She's about 5'3".120, in her 30s with a great face and long, dark, straight hair. Actually, quite attractive.

I found that Marion's very pleasant in addition to pretty. We made some small talk and we were both at ease as we got down to business. At a nice, secluded spot, Marion gave me an exceptional BBJ for the standard (she did ask for double but quickly agreed to the. 2 plus tip). She's a spitter, but by that point I consider it her property to do with as she will.

There are three or four black trannys who work Old York Road. They are relatively easy to spot in the light of day.
