Re: Yes Naileen is HOT too.
It just scares me to see someone that is all cut up like that. Just makes me worry about their self worth that they do that to themselves. If she is a really nice person can we help her out to stop the cutting? Or is that something else? RM
WOW! You noticed. And not only did you notice, but you had the compassion to make a legit comment.
You Sir; are a gentlemen and a scholar.

Self-injury is the act of deliberately harming your own body, such as cutting or burning yourself. It's not meant as a suicide attempt. Rather, self-injury is an unhealthy way to cope with emotional pain, intense anger and frustration.
While self-injury may bring a momentary sense of calm and a release of tension, it's usually followed by guilt and shame and the return of painful emotions. And with self-injury comes the possibility of inflicting serious and even fatal injuries.
Because self-injury is often done on impulse, it may be considered an impulse-control behavior problem. Self-injury may accompany a variety of mental illnesses, such as depression, eating disorders and borderline personality disorder.

I noticed Naileen’s scarred arm and ask her about it. She kind of put it off and said it was something she used to do. I took a good look, held her arm in my hand, and saw that all the wounds were well heeled and old. I am not an amateur psychoanalyst and I am not a nosy busy body, so at the point that I saw she wasn’t in an immediate harm I decided to mind my own business.
On hind sight, I am now thinking there was nothing I could have done if the cuts were recent. Just like there is little I can do to help her with her current addiction. Her cutting herself was most likely a prelude to her current behavior. She has substituted one form of addictive behavior for another.
I had heard about cutting and until I saw Naileen’s arm I figured it was just another weird fad, like piercing. It isn’t. At the very least it is a cry for help.

CookyJar
I have been friends with Girls that cut. I've never heard of guys doing it but I guess it is possible. Cutting is a way some people try to cope with the pain of strong emotions, intense pressure, or upsetting relationship problems. They may be dealing with feelings that seem too difficult to bear, or bad situations they think can't change. The remedy is conversation from caring friends that intervene when the cutter thinks there is no other way but to self injur. We live in a world where people are judged on their appearance, their social and economic stature rather than their just existing as good human beings. If you don't fit in the mold of the perfect; you are an outcast. I wish the girls out on the street didn't have to deal with LE and the illegality of having sex with consenting adults for money or having to work for pimps that offer nothing in return for the money they take. Maybe they could actually enjoy the sex and make the people that watch these message boards feel good about having fun. Isn't that what this is all about? Having Fun? I don't think she would be cutting if she had fun every time out. RM
