I can scroll up and find an older texts in literally seconds. Not really understanding why this made you hesitant?

Having said that, I think I saw her half a dozen times maybe, and never had a problem. But, I never felt at ease with her either. Something just always seemed off. At first, I thought it was because we were getting to know each other. But, when the feeling didn't go away, and her performance never improved, I decided I'd pushed my luck far enough.
