God know I love Hakeem beautiful moves, smooth and athletic, but just totally overmatched physically, wouldn't be smooth and athletic after 3 periods of pounding, no one would.

Don't know if you're one of them but the youngns these days are quick to claim someone who is unproven as the biggest, best ever, or in James's case "the king". Horseshit. Lebron James is perhaps the greatest physical specimen the NBA has seen to date. His new found jumper and Magic-like ability to play multiple positions make him the best in the game today. Others are right though. Hell, for this crop of mostly soft players I suppose he is "king". James still has a ways to go before LEGITIMATELY being compared to other legends. He is relatively young so he has a very good chance of getting there. The other teams of the league have their own ambitions and will have something to say about that however. If he wants to do it with the Heat, a slight roster adjustment is in order unless he plans to change uniforms. I hear his friend Kyrie Irving is looking for assistance. Given that cursed franchise just re-hired Mike Brown (a certified idiot) James will likely not pursue that since Brown was one of the reasons he left in the first place. Bring on next season. LAKERS BABY!

Now I'm not saying Shaq is not dominant cause he Helped My Lakers with Kobe Win 3 titles but if given a choice I would take Magic as my 1st pick in a draft and if I had to take a center 1st I would go with Kareem.

When he go to the Lakers, that's when he really started to take off. Why didn't Hakeem win more rings then? Why didn't he win a ring after getting his 2nd if he was so dominate? Also, I just looked at every head to head match up between the 2 including the Championship. Shaq clearly puts up even or much better stats in almost every category! Thus proving Shaq = Hakeem in the Finals but the Rockets Orlando. Also, of course Orlando had a pretty good team in 95. They reached the Finals but. The Rockets clearly had a better team with possibly the 2nd or 3rd best SG of all time in Drexler. 2 really really really good PG's in Cassell and Kenny Smith. 2 PF's that were really really really good in Otis Smith and Robert Horry, One of the best 3 point shooters and scorers in Vernon Maxwell and Mr. Winner himself Mario Ellie!

Where'd you play basketball? Pick up games with some chumps at a crappy park or rec center? You're crazy if you take Kareem or Magic first! Shaq would have a field day with Kareem! MJ, Kobe and LBJ are clearly better picks over Magic, even though Magic was very entertaining! I've played basketball since I was like 5. I've played for my high school and some small college ball as well. In fact, I still play a lot of ball in random leagues and parks through out Hawaii and I'll tell you what's up! If I had too choose who I would rather guard, it'd be The Dream cause he won't wear you down like Shaq!

But if you word it as you did then he'd have to be number one pick to start a team, why would you waste the number one pick on someone who has many potential matchup, like a Kareem? Walton would match up well against Kareem, so would Russel, so would Hakeem, so would Ewing, so would the Admiral, i'd even add a guy like Dikembe Mutombo and potentially Roy Hibbard in there, I mean you have many matchups with Kareem but look at Shaq who can matchup against him? No one, thats why there was hack a Shaq, you'd have to employ a team scheme against him, no on one could match the guy, as for Michael, Magic and all the rest of them James included, there are all people who can match up physically with them, Shaq on the other hand has no one!

Yep! Totally agree with you bro! Most fans love the smooth players! That's why Kobe, KD, Ray Allen, The Dream have so many fans man! But like in all sports, it's about aggression and who is more physical including the guards! I love Isiah, CP3, Shaq, Robert Horry, MJ, Pippen, J Kidd, KG, etc. They all bring a little nastiness to the game with attitude, aggression, etc.
