Tokyo has their own accent as well as Osaka etc. A true Japanese person can tell my Japanese is learned not integral. Even my Mandarin, though Beijing accent since I lived there is learned.
Just saying.[/QUOTE]Yes it is kind of awesome. An old sensei said when he went to Japan, they "pick it up right away" regarding his accent, even though he sounded fluent here. Educated "Tokyoites" have a sound that distinguishes them from others; I have never heard it with Korean women, they can only say the words.
