Not all girls will give references so make sure they do before you start handing out there phone numbers. Some will, but not all. From what I gathered from media reports is that a guy had a stolen vehicle and when confronted by LEO, he refused to come out of his room. I don't think there was any prostitution connections here from what I read.

She could have chosen not to do it, to accept the responsibility for her debts or addiction. At its beginning Human Trafficking was when a woman did not have a choice in what they did. It originally described Asians, Eastern Europeans and Latinos who were in the country illegally and were forced to perform sex acts to pay for their transportation into the US. They could not control their being in the industry. These women were physically prisoners of the traffickers. It has now expanded to any pimp (or manager) that profits from the women selling sex. Using the current socially accepted description, Buddha and Steve were / are human traffickers, not just pimps.

There is no good answer to this question. With the enactment of FOSTA, every woman who sells her body for money is involved with Human Trafficking, even if they don't have a pimp / manager helping promote them or enslaving them.

At one end, is forcible rape. At the other end is when your wife or girfriend says, "Let's make love right now!" In between, there are various degrees of pressure that would induce a woman (or a man, for that matter) to have sex with someone. Some sex workers are brought to the US under false pretenses and, then, once they are here, pushed into sex work. I think that that is the classical situation of human trafficking. If a woman is in a difficult financial situation and decides to have sex to make money, that is prostitution, but it is different. If someone else acts as her agent, then that is pimping. I think that the big question is the extent to which the sex worker is controlled or manipulated by the agent. I would like to think that the providers whom I see are acting freely, but I don't really know.
