The mistake that was the red flag for your masseuse was handing over the tip to her at the start of the session. Think: you are fully clothed and you are offering to pay for additional services.

The regular way to do this is for the masseuse to leave the room, then you undress. She comes back and begins the massage (with or without draping). Nothing illegal here. Your behavior (reaching out, OTC) sends a signal that you wish for more. She will also tease (not illegal) to which you will respond. On the flip, negotiations can begin. If you are too pushy she may still play it safe, but you've probably demonstrated enough "interest" to make you a safe bet.

Some folks put money in clear view while undressing so that the masseuse can see it as soon as she re-enters the room, but nothing is being negotiated at that point.

So, two red flags, I suggest. First, offering cash immediately. Second (and you can't do much about this one) as a first-timer (young, short hair? You may look like a gentleman on official business.

Best advice: let the masseuse do the advances while offering encouragement (Oh, I like that!) and OTC roaming.

I agree with Reggie about getting your money back and walking. This shouldn't put you off a return visit.

However they are very short handed so you may find it difficult to get in. Appointments are a must unless you hit it lucky with a walk in.
