I agree to a point, George. But
Cops can be very good at getting you to incriminate yourself, for one thing. Remember, you have the right to remain silent.
If you show up at a place where you have set up an appointment with an escort or you go to a massage parlor that is known to police for illegal activities, you just need to knock on the door for the cops to consider you guilty.
Again, it's not necessarily about a conviction. It's the arrest that can be very problematic, no matter if you end up not being convicted. Now your mugshot is all over the internet, your fingerprints are in the system, you are detained for hours, you are out any money for a lawyer, your marriage might be over, etc, etc, etc.
Even if you did nothing illegal.
There is a certain amount of guilt by association, however, making an arrest is a long way from being convicted. I agree the arrest is what we are all avoiding. But showing to a Dream Spa will not get you arrested, the State Attorney's Office is pretty adamant about needing the elements of the crime before an arrest and exposing the city or county to a liable suit. I have walked into Dream Spa on occasion with TPD sitting in the parking lot. Knowing your rights is a powerful tool. I realize not everyone has a law degree, however, I can say, TPD is looking more for those that leave as soon as they are seen than those that walk inside. Much like a checkpoint. If you turn around that will create more attention than just pulling into a parking place and get out and go inside. I will says cops are very good at trying to get you to talk, but remember under less you are being detained or under arrest, just walk away. Cops are making cases, but they are looking for the cases that will stick and the easy ones. Stay safe my friends.
It's an "all depends " type situation.
I guess I don't see how that would be considered a criminal act though. Or a reason to get arrested. If nothing about extras was brought up, just paying for a massage or companionship how would that be an arrest-able offense?
Feel free to pm me if you like.
I'm just trying to get more educated for my safety and the safety of others.
An arrest can occur on (1) of two occasion. A warrant, or an on-site arrest. Much like whether you get a ticket, written warning, or verbal warning. It all depends. All that is need to make an arrest is probable cause. That is something more than mere suspicion. If you show up to Dream Spa you will find there is no discussion about tip money for anything extra. They just start taking care of your HE once you flip. There has not been an arrest there because there is no discussion of money for a sex act. At the other two location there was a record conversation of asking for a tip and the UC asking for how much, then once determined how much the act was discussed of what was going to happen. Each element of the crime was there so an arrest was made. Going to a place known for crime activity is not a crime, it does make you predisposed to commit a criminal act, but not necessary. LEO in VICE are pretty good at not entrapping you, but certainly providing the opportunity to let you commit the act. When I am asked about a tip, I just say "I do not discuss money. " The provider is left with the choice of stopping and I leave or finish the session and hope there is a tip. Just be careful. PM me with questions. Stay safe fellows. The Bud.
