While we are strolling down memory lane lets not forget Lynns Den on first avenue and the old Patio lounge. There was also another place can not remember name of on first closer to sears than Lynn's by a block or so. Those were the golden days. That's all because of crack coming into the scene. Around the time that the classy looking ladies of the night disappeared was the same period of time crack was invented. It went from girls wanting to make themselves up nice and actually try to perform to the don't give a damn just get the money at all costs attitudes. Basically you literally went from nice dresses and makeup to blue sweatpants and rotten teeth in no time flat, LOL.
I know what crack can do to the girls, so it's no surprise how the scene looks now. Seeing it firsthand is also why I no longer let a girl trying to beg me for more money affect me. They complain about being around other people and not being able to feel their high and whatnot, not to mention it usually only lasts 15 to 20 minutes and they need more. They'll act like their world is coming to an end if they don't get more, and beg for more money and what all we'll do and this and that. Too many times I used to fall for that and then sit there and watch them smoke up that next fix and before we get into all the 'fun' stuff we were supposed to engage in they end up needing more. So I keep my money in my pocket and they can go find their way to get their next fix elsewhere. I've told girls I know basically that same thing before all that even starts.
You are absolutely correct about the effect of crack on these women. Takes it's toll quickly. One girl I know who is a non pro I finally told to never contact me until she was off that shit. Is the USA motel up on the mountain above Arby's still in business. Used to be an active place but for some time it also had a lot of LE scrutiny.
You know, I've always heard of the areas around Valley Ave and the Homewood area being active, but whenever I've rode through there day or night I've seen nothing. It's just so far off the mongering route to add it to the list of places to hit, not to mention I've never seen anything out that way. I do know lots of the ads on BP list Homewood as their local area. Anyway I guess I'll have to ride by that way sometime soon and see what's out there.

I thought I'd mention for any visitors that happen to come through that if you go to the first page of this thread, you'll find my posts of where to find SW in the local Birmingham area. It used to be a sticky to make it easier to find. When the board was revamped, it was put into the SW thread.
My work allowed me a slow day yesterday so I drove thru town instead of using interstates all day. Saw several SW out all over town and can assure that the locations were pretty true to Clark Kent's observations.
At the motel on First and 50th street there was a short slim WSW with black hair down to shoulders and a larger BSW. Both were making it pretty obvious what they were there for.
Third ave west at the Motor Lodge there are two or three BSW as well as another a block away on 2nd ave. These girls seemed happy to stay on the main street and flaunt their business in every one's face also.

The apartments around Cotton & Center are the ones Old Puseater spoke about finding several of the girls in his report. I've always been cautious about picking up girls around there as most girls there have been a wheelbarrow full of drama in the past as far as my experiences go. That being said, I have seen some decent girls around that area, and even riding back over to 6th Ave So where the city jail is and looking around in those neighborhoods can be successful at times. If you're heading south at the intersection of Center and Cotton, and go straight into the neighborhood area, follow the road and you'll go over a railroad track and keep straight and it'll carry you to 6th. Leonard's BBQ is at the light on 6th. The neighborhood between the tracks and 6th where Leonard's is at is a good area at times as well. Basically just explore. There's a possibility of seeing girls walking at all hours. It just takes patience. That's why it gets me when people comment asking where the girls are. They make one pass, don't see anything, so they think the girls have all migrated elsewhere. Just answer one of those $300 escort ads, because mongering isn't for the impatient.
