Happened to be in the area last night after 11. Strolled Bellingham and Everett St. Only saw one WSW. I was going to make my move, but she got scooped quickly. After that, it was totally dead. In an ongoing effort to eradicate Prostitution in Chelsea, the Chelsea Police Department conducted a focused operation on Friday September 7th. As part of a continuance of the on-going 'Operation IMPACT' (Improved Methods of Patrol and Attacking Crime Trends) the department utilized undercover officers in targeting both Prostitutes and Johns. As a result, eleven (11) arrests were made linked to prostitution, combined to a total of (17) arrests made during the 24-hr period on September 6th. According to Chief Brian A. Kyes, 'The Chelsea Police Department will continue to conduct these operations that target not only Prostitutes but also their customer base or John's. ' He added, 'The Department will continue to focus enforcement on these types of crimes that affect the quality of life of Chelsea residents and we will continue to work with the District Attorney's office in an effort to impose stricter sentences and fines'.
