NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- A dozen women were charged with prostitution over the weekend after New Haven police conducted a sting operation.

Police said the arrests came after the raided two saunas: The Orange Sauna and The Star Sauna, both on Whalley Avenue.

"I did have a feeling about a month ago that something else was going on besides the normal massage," resident Ella Blackwell said.

Blackwell said she caught on after a group of men recently used the ATM machine in her Laundromat.

"There were four guys who came in, and they were hitting the ATM machine really hard and they were happy," she said.

New Haven's Tactical Narcotic Unit had been investigating the saunas for three months prior to making the arrests. In addition to the arrests, police said, $30,000 in cash was seized.

Police said they believe the money seized is cash paid by customers to have sex with the women working at the massage parlors. They said the Tactical Narcotics Unit started working the case after receiving complaints from the neighborhood and nearby businesses.

"I'm trying to run a business, and it wasn't always the best thing," business owner Christian Dimenna said. "People would always ask me."

Well it looks as if the sun has finally set on the CT AMP scene. I read the WFSB report and I did have to laugh at one point, look at the names on the list and look for the initials MM for one of the girls busted. Just sound out the name. I have to agree though that the loss of the Star just plain sucks, it feels the same as when HK got busted.

I've known Annie for about a year now and see her regularly. I can't argue too much with what the previous posts say about appearance--if looks are what you want, then go see Kara or Ana or JasmineFine--but I have to add that she's talented, consistent, and accommodating. Well let me tell you about my experence drove all the way to and haven to met this woman and when I arrived she told me the room # went up and knocked on the door and all I got was a dog barking so I called her she said she it ok its only my dog I will be right up no shit now why would you bring a fucking dog to a notel not to metion a well named notel something told me to leave well upon leaving I saw le all over the lobby badges hanging out everywere I said wtf I am outta here.

Didn't bark or growl at me and until you mentioned it I forgot he was there. I didn't notice any activity in the lobby but I was apprehensive meeting her because she advertises herself daily but at least she moves her location around.
