Hard lessons
Case tossed out? Good to hear. Been so long since you announced the issue that I forgot what you got arrested / ticketed for.
The official charge was "procuring others for hired sex acts".
Luckily for me, the attorney was awesome and actually KNEW the prosecutor.
He came in late and exchanged a few words with his buddy (the prosecutor).
3 minutes later my name was called and my charges were dismissed.
Basically it was a 1500 dollar lesson. I still owe him a thousand bucks!
But I still have no criminal record and a 2nd chance at life.
I should have just let that ***** have the. 25 instead of standing my ground. However, I come from the mean streets of Glenwood and NOTHING was given to me for free.
Most of the older privileged mongers here cannot relate to me. It will be a loooooong time before I can return to this "hobby" because all funds will have to go to my attorney.
Dammit I should have taken the "L" and lost 25 vs 1500.
This bird is going to suffer though. She has more charges than me from the incident. It will cost her $$ and possibly jail time (which I'm sure she's used to).
But I still have no criminal record and a 2nd chance at life.
Happy for you, P! I know it sucks to pay the lawyer expense, but at least no record. Hopefully, the lawyer will work with you to spread the payments out and not charge crazy interest. Try not to think about what other things you could do with $1500, as a record could keep you from getting better paying jobs in the future. I think you will come out ahead in the long run.

Another moocher
I don't mean anything at all. Thats what she put in her ad so why don't you just call HER and ask. Are you going to write up any reviews or just mooch info?
By "prices are final" do you mean she doesn't negotiate?
That, and even the most silent lurker provides "eyeballs" which make this ad-supported forum continue to exist; so really, no one who comes here is a "mooch" in the absolute sense.
Just some thoughts.

O.
I understand the questions part of your comment. But if your a silent lurker how can your eyeballs be of use if you never post? You would just have silent eyeballs LOL.

Therefore, even if someone doesn't contribute content, they are contributing to keeping the site funded.

O.
What a stretch LOL. Of course everyone appreciates efforts which inderectly keep this site functional. What everyone does not appreciate is how somebody can use our information for their benefit for an extended period of time and never once saw fit to contribute themselves. Sorry I don't feel the need to use valuable fingers responding or pmimg somebody who has 10 posts and they are all questions.

O.
Good observation, Oz, but most lurkers selfishly use info that other mongers work hard to get. Kind of like a dude showing up for a potluck, not bringing a dish and eating everything in sight. That does more damage in the long run and will diminish those advertising numbers.
So, imagine what this board would be like if we were all lurkers?
Going by PlayNAtl's logic, the board would have countless eyes / lurkers but no content. LOL. The board would still be up and running but would eventually implode because of lurkers posting no content. I think the lurkers should keep lurking but should be required to post at least 1 review before asking 10,000 questions.

Mis dos centavos
In order to have a viable forum it takes three groups. Content creators, content consumers, and advertisers. All of them play a part.
The advertisers, pay for eyeballs, that's all they care about. Without the advertisers the forum closes. End of story.
As with most forums our lurkers outnumber contributors by about 10-1. We have around 500,000 to 600,000 page loads a day from usually around 200,000 unique visitors. We have about 30,000 active members so the other 170,000 or so are people who just show up for whatever reason. Guys who come here and just read are vital, without them the advertisers don't pay, then we close.
Content creators, the guys who post, without them why would anybody come, so again we close. The thing is though without the other two we are also closed so where would they write?
All three need the other two to keep the site going.
A2.
