What sad news. She was a solid provider.
Very sad to see that Ava has passed. Also causes a bit of self-reflection for me. I am not going to claim that myself, or any mongers, drove Ava into a bad situation, or even that we enabled self-destructive behavior on her part. But we were certainly willing to take advantage of the opportunities presented by her circumstances. We basically all knew she was a user and a drinker, and we knew that girls don't end up advertising on Skip because life is going well for them. One of the things I liked about Ava was that despite her issues she seemed to hold things together far better than most. Owned a business, and a house (not the one she worked out of.) That made it easier to pretend, I guess, that she was not desperate. But if you look at the circumstances she came from, you can see how far she really fell. This is a girl who could have been the young mom in your neighborhood who you look at appreciatively as she walks her kids to school, or the small business owner who never misses a Rotary meeting, if she never heard of fentanyl.
I'd really prefer providers who made a decision to use their looks to make some easy money for a few years and set themselves up for the rest of their lives. Those exist, but specifically because they are not desperate, they tend to be higher-end and work through agencies. Some of the AMP providers meet that description, don't have a moral issue with what they are doing and send a lot of money home. But others are outright trafficked, which is an even worse situation than Ava was in.
I actually think the sugar baby sites offer the best opportunities to find girls who are maybe opportunistic and greedy rather than addicted and desperate. But even there, I have given a girl half what we agreed on and left without partaking when I saw track marks.
This board is about sharing information. I'd like to crowd-source some information about providers who approach this as a business, and not as something they are forced to do by circumstances or addiction. One well-known provider in Acton, MA meets that description. Do you guys know others?
