I've never had the pleasure of meeting Melissa. But from what I hear, she is a treasure and a great asset to the hobbying community. I base this on the many, many posts that she has made and many have made about her. Yes, I am a newbie, and I, like Melissa, am not totally familiar with thread etiquette. Perhaps that's why I, like many other lurkers don't contribute to this board or similar ones on the net--for fear of being chastised because of the lack of knowledge of certain "understood" rules. Just because people can work a keyboard doesn't give them the right to be rude or uncivil. Just because a person has x amount of posts doesn't mean that gives him/her the right to judge or act in such a way. Just means that you have more time to post.

This board provides a valuable service for hobbiests and providers alike. Melissa is a great asset to this forum and one of the best providers in the area. Her enthusiasm for what she does is infectious, only seen in a handful of providers. So she made a little blunder. Who hasn't? We were all newbies at one point. Congratualtions, you've managed to alienate a seemingly nice provider, and a nice person from what I've read. Who's next?

"don't let the door hit you on the way out". "you are a dumbass". "you aren't better than anyone else". These are all comments thrown at me for one little misguided question. I apologized, and once agin. KATIE is the only one who hasn't yelled at me. I'm not thin skinned. I am just a very sweet person who doesn't have people in my life that yell at me and call me names. THe hostility was overwhelming. Anger and hatred isn't something I'm used to. However, so many of you ahve given me wonderful words of encouragement and have told me the best way to handle this is to just stand up and stay. Don't run from the bullies.

This bashing has gone on long enough. Let's get back to the board for what its for. For those of us fortunate to have spent time with Melissa, we know who she is and how she is. For those who have not, I can only say that if you did know her, you would understand and know that she isn't a malicious person, a nosey person, or someone that is trying to get into others business. If she asked a sensitive question, then tell her that it may have been out of bounds, but you don't have to go into a bash fest.

Anyways, I saw Katie yesterday and it was as amazing as ever. She still looks great, has great services, great conversation, everything was (you guessed it) great. Every hobbyist should do themselves the favor and schedule an appointment. Seriously, with all the great reviews, if any of you guys haven't seen her. What are you waiting for? I've had the opportunity to meet some amazing providers that have knocked off my socks. Providers such as Sarah, Amber Silk & Molly, there are others but I can't name them all but I experienced one that either pulled off, knocked off or burned them off because of the heat. I interpreted that as "retired", in the very loose sense in which providers "retire" (I've known a few that retired more times than Sinatra did, so I never totally give up hope when one I want to see retires.
