My first experience was about 3-4 months ago in Appleton, WI of all places. I was up there for work and decided to check out BP. Found a place and was talked into 4 hand and didn't even get the standard finish from the two grandmas.

After that first experience -I was like a runaway freight train looking for variety and quality and get plenty of variety and a small percentage of quality. For me, it was just the ease of getting something new when I wanted it without the effort. I guess I'm lazy. I do like the thrill of meeting new girls for sure and the unexpected is an adrenaline rush as well.

That being said. The best experiences I have had have been the ones where I have some type of emotional connection as well. I guess I'm a chick in that regard despite the complete farce of expecting any genuine connection with these girls. Although one provider has shown some personal interest and seen me outside the spa but I'm skeptical of her intentions.

Just today I checked out SA and wondering if that's going to be my next adventure.

I have asked a lot of regular civilian woman in my socio economic group if they have done anything like that when they were in the market. Go to a bar to have some fun, meet a guy, let him buy you a drink and then go home have a one night stand. They laughed at that stereotype I had in mind. Not alone they have never done that, they do not even know even any of their more adventurous friends have done that as a matter of habit. What I learned from them is an obvious fact that woman also come in a wide distribution and there are only a few who are horny enough to agree for sex with a total stranger.

I wondered when was that a predominant reality among civilian girls / women.

But about your main question, my reason for the hobby is variety, no attachment / commitment issues, it is a simple transaction etc. Even more fundamental is a bit of addiction to bodily pleasure. I am married and I feel MAP's or Asian apartments put me at less exposure for getting caught. I know. I am probably just fooling myself. However when I monger overseas I have moved away from P4 P as the experiences have been lack luster except for Thailand. I have three non-pro regulars now overseas and they are so much better than any P4 P I have had with the exception of Bangkok.

I don't consider it a hobby. My experiences are strictly with massage parlors. It's a unique, stand alone experience. I enjoy any number of activities: movies, dining out with drinks, working out, etc. I'm not married and not currently involved with a woman, so I have absolutely nobody to answer to. I go because it can be, at its best, an hourlong pleasureable experience. However, my enjoyment of it has been on a steady decline for about a year, as the number of places that provide that hourlong pleasureable experience has rapidly dropped, and the looks and quality of the women has done the same. Therefore, so has my frequency of visiting. Unfortunately, the women want more money by DEMANDING it, rather than realizing that multiple return visits by me will EARN them a LOT more money. I'm not getting into buying gifts and candy and flowers and playing chauffeur on shopping trips to someone who could be back in Beijing, Seoul, or Los Angeles tomorrow. There is no shortage of things for me to do, and I'm glad to do them if the massage scene doesn't provide the enjoyment I want, at the prices I feel are worthwhile.
