Not only here, but abroad also. What I think we forget to add into the equation is the generational societal changes within our city and the world. This is a "new & different" makeup of people. They are younger, with a different sets of upbringing and values compared with the average SWs that where around when I first engaged into this practice. We've always had drugs, poverty, lack of proper education, but the difference is that that plague has morphed itself into every facet of society; ie "the opioid epidemic", which has infected every community viciously. I use to say the same thing, but I took a risk and opened myself to a different way of thinking. Lately I've run across more above avg. providers on the streets, than I have before. Ever!! Sure they're not like it used to be when you could ride around the "circle" and you had a smorgasbord of choices; it was like "shooting fish in a barrel"; but in IMHO, there are still plenty of great options still out there and many more to come, but by me embracing the changes, I find that "the more things change, the more they stay the same". As with any SW, YMMV, so it might take a little bit of effort to find that "needle in a hay stack", but I've found out, that it's worth the wait, if your a true degenerate as myself. LOL. Peace.
