For many years I owned in the west loop and am very familiar with the area you are in. Also you go further down halsted into bridgeport and there is a cop shop right there. When you go up to work and you say sometimes you go up from grand I mean if say you went halsted to grand west you are going to be dead all the way up except late pm or very early am you may see something of interest around pulaski. As mentioned here you really have to go into some interesting areas. Like way south on halsted in the 100's or on 5th near the ike. Or even west madison, however I mean into the heart of the west side of the city. SW's are long gone near downtown. I mean I used to see them in the rush street area pretty heavily way back in the day and even in the early 2000's a stray or two when I was bar hopping in the viagra triangle. But no not these days. I do something I regret every time I go up to the city. I reminisce about formerly great areas. What's the point? They never come back. North Street from Kedzie to Cicero had a girl on every corner. 47th from Pulaski to Archer had some beautiful girls that looked straight out of Playboy.
