TOFTT is fine and encouraged, but within limits. I'd be aghast if a newbie decided to use TOFTT as a justification when their Spidey Senses were on high alert. But no, someone does not have to do it. Go into a bad situation and get injured, ripped off or arrested. Sigh. Any guys that decides to take that risk is fine, they just need to accept the fact taht at times things might not go as planned.

There are plenty of idiots out there so it is a facility to say the fact that a girl or her pimp got verified and that means they wouldn't rip off anyone. Think about it. What monger is going to complain to LE about getting ripped off by a prostitute? It is the perfect scam. PLUS, you really think LE would take such a theft seriously? Oh you were trying to do something illegal, patronize a prostitute, and she / they ripped you off? We'll get right on that! NOT! Even if you got injured or your ride damaged, there is a legal concept called "clean hands" which means don't go to LE or the courts for help / remedy when you started off doing something illegal.

What I think the dude was trying to do was to get you off your game or divert you focus or attention. He says, he thought you were someone else and might not allow you to see the girl. He could have said anything, but he wants you to let you guard down and get you thinking about anything else other than the fact that he's about to rip you off.

Finally, while a lot of girls might have handlers, boyfriends or dudes around, my experience suggests it is best to avoid those girls. If a girl has a "handler" then technically she is being "pimped" or trafficked and thus is a prime target of LE. We have all seen that that kind of activity draws some pretty powerful attention. So IMHO it is wise to avoid such situations if possible.

So no, the fact that KittyAds "verifies" a girl means nothing in reality. What can one do with that "verification" to stay safe? If I remember the original post, the KittyAds "verified" girl had a dude meet you, took your money and then stiffed you. So how did the verification process work out? Didn't sound like it helped, rather provided a false sense of security. So that is what I am trying to point out. Don't get a false sense of security from some online "verification" process. There are many ways to exploit something like that and the bad guys will figure out new ways every day to do that. So applying general "rules" is designed to keep one safe.

On the flip side of the coin, why would you send a copy of your D / L to a prostitution website to "get verified?" Oh sure I guess that could make a girl feel safer, but what happens if the website decides to post real names as associated with the prostitution website? What if the girl gets you real name and decides to extort you or call your wife, SO or employer? Maybe the website tries to extort you to have your data removed? Perhaps LE seizes the site and the data? Think it won't happen? There are examples around on each of these.

This is just how I see things and perhaps my view is too careful? Maybe others don't care about taking risks? Just trying to share another way to look at the situation as this site is about dudes helping other dudes. Maybe no one cares and don't mind losing money or getting attacked or arrested?
