Pretty much the way I remember Detroit and I left in 1997. Sounds like it hasn't changed very much. I'm an IT Consultant also; scared sh*tless describes me just trying to drive to the Wayne County Jail to work on their population information system or driving to the Cadillac plant. LOL

Hey. Then you must remember the ole "Wood-Six". Man that was the place. You will never ever have anything like that in this whole Tri-State area. For those who have never been, the Wood-Six was a XXX Movie Theater/Strip Club/Everything EXTRA & More. It started at 11am-Midnight, and then the girls went to the After Hours Clubs for even more. Plus with a pass you could leave, get something to eat and come back for more. I even took the girls down the street to the Notel, for extras on their lunch breaks. I would BET once Casino's come to this area, the SW's situation will be even more strict. Once the Gov't, comes in with the Casino's, they will want a low rate of Crime on everything, including SW action. It is fairly low not, but SW Action, Drugs, and Robbery/Theft/Burlary, are the Gov't Pet Peeves, for getting Gambling in any area. We are lucky it has stayed fairly low in this area.

Sort of reminds me of the "Block" in Baltimore. An intersection in the low rent district that had strip clubs that ran for a block in each direction on both sides of both streets. Many of the buildings had a club on the first floor, one on the second floor, and sometimes there was one in the basement. Often times the basement was where the "extras" were given. I never did meet a girl working there who did not offer extras and it was usually less then $. Most of the girls were an 8 or a 9 with several 10's in the mix. I haven't been back since the late 1980's and it is probably gone now.

Agreed. Lately, after every time I post a report, I've been getting at least one PM from someone with 0-3 posts looking for more intel or seeking details. Instead of "trading" info, post in the forums like everyone else with as much detail as you see fitting. This isn't a barter system between mongers, this is a "heads up" system for us all to share. Now step back, rethink your strategy and try again. Post what you know on the 2 you have seen and let's move forward. Once you earn some cred then you will be better off. Just fyi, most on here wont do that. Just my 2 cents my friend.

You will only give info for info? Look all around your posts. Look all around the site! We have provided more than a sufficient amount of intel for you to look at and make decisions! You are ruining it for other noobs on the site genius. Maybe it shouldn't tick me off, but i'm sure most are like me and it ticks them off to for you to use intel as a bartering tool... Read the rules, and learn a tad bit of respect here. You will get nothing, with the barter attitude you have. I don't need your intel, i have plenty of my own, as well as other senior members here. Keep it to yourself, and go to another site. Or learn respect, step back and try this again, it will get your further.

I totally agree with the senior members statements. No reason to be rude, just do a bit to earn your stripes.

Hell, I've been doing this half my life (19 years), but I only heard the term "mongering" about 3 weeks ago. I don't even know how I stumbled across this site.

I'm entirely self-taught, up to this point, but the info you can get from the archives is great. There are people with MUCH more experience than the average guy. The ones who are willing to share successes/failures are very valuable. I appreciate those resources very much.

Offers? What are you talking about? This site isn't about offers, it's about sharing intel to keep each other safe, as well as the providers safe. I'm sure 99. 9% of mongers on here would not "trade" info with you and here is why. First off your a noobie, you have very few posts, so most on here won't trust your intel. Secondly, The way you go about it, bartering info will also tell people there is something awry. Thirdly, I have as most people who seen your name or any noobies name checked your recent posts. You have virtually given no information about anything. See you have to understand this isn't personal against you, the way the site is set up and the pecking order, it's just the way it is. You are taking the fact that this site is upheld a certain way as being a personal attack. Yes the way you came across ticked me off, but other than that I really don't care. I really don't need your info, but it appears you need ours from the "offer" you are making. Now realize how things go here, re-evaluate what you got, and let's start over. Lastly, we will never talk offline, for obvious reasons, that's most likely another rule you didn't read. So read the rules, respect your senior members, post some intel and we will all start trusting you, and you will see how things go when you become a senior member. We are all on here to help each other, to look out for each other. Now I will say to you as I do everyone else.

As far as I know, there is no rule against making an offer on this forum. However, if you scan through a few weeks of posts, you will see that most of us posters post stuff that we think will be helpful to others. Just sort of an information exchange with the idea that if we pool our intel, it will be to everyone's benefit. Personally, I was not offended by your "offer." It wasn't so much that it was against the rules or the "letter" of the law, just against the "spirit" of this forum as I have come to understand it.
