You didn't just encounter 1 of these anomalous sounding non-pros but 4 of them in brief time you've spent passing through over just a couple of months. Please do tell more details about where exactly they are lurking and how the initial encounter is scripted?

I will be in Tijuana tomorrow for the first time in way too long. Unfortunately I won't get to the zona at all and I hate it when that happens. I only have 24 hours and all circumstances considered, I must spend them with my own non-pro novia of the last 7 years. I will be taking a two week vacation later this year for the first time to Vegas. Have read on several different locations here on the east coast saying if you are anywhere near the west coast you must make a trip to tijuana. Was wondering if maybe I should split my vacation maybe one week in vegas and another in tijuana. Or maybe a couple nights in vegas and a longer vacation in tijuana. Also if I did go do I need to exchange us dollars here in the states or wait till I get over the boarder. I don't speak any spanish and if that would be a problem. Any opinions on how to enjoy my vacation would be greatly be helpful.

Some veterans like to change to pesos because they can strike better deals with the ladies. But not necessary. Every stripper / hooker there knows the daily dollar / peso conversion. No Spanish, no problem if you stick to the big clubs in Zona Norte. A lot of the girls speak at least a little English and all speak Dollars.

The streetgirls are 20-25 bucks for 20 minutes and 5 bucks hotel. 40-100 girls in zona norte standing on the streets. Hong Kong and adelitas bar dozens of girls. 60-80 for half hour with about 15 for the hotel. Just have to deal with the leech waiters.

Hong Kong and the Hotel Cascadas are separate entities. They have to be under Mexican law (otherwise the combo would be considered a brothel, and illegal). Las Chevalas girls also use Cascadas.

Way back when (pre-2002) you could bring as many ladies as you want to your room from where-ever (street, Hong Kong, other bars, etc.) with no extra fees. From what I've read on various Tijuana boards they now may try and hit you with a service charge for each different girl after the first one (although over a few days I doubt they could keep track). I'd clarify this on check-in.

Don't know about the $60 rooms. Last time I stayed there (in $30 rooms) they were reasonably clean, although somewhat worn. What difference does it make. You'll be having a 2-3 day fuckfest.

I never stayed more than one night at a time so just carried all my cash with me. Only things I left in my room was clothing / tooth brush, shaving gear / etc. Not sure what I'd do if I had to have cash for multiple days. There are ATM's in Tijuana. Also reports of guys getting mugged while using them. I think if you used the ATM in daylight hours in a busy place you'd be OK. Just don't let anyone "help" you.

The $30 was the overnite price I paid back in early 2000's so it's possible it has gone up. There are alternatives. I used to stay at the Leyva a lot. In fact stayed there on my last visit this past October ($25/ night). I think I will stay from a week to 2 weeks inside the hotels of the Zona Norte like Hotel Leyva or Cascadas if I can get a good weekly rate. Do you or anyone else think a tourist might become a mUgging target if he's seen inside the clubs day and night, and walking the streets of the Zona day and night for one to two weeks?
