I'm new to this thread because I'm usually mongering in the massage therapist and best HJ threads, but I recently noticed some things pertinent to this active thread.
If this has been discussed before, my apologies, but my research has led me to believe that their are night providers, working corners in the area of lower Aiea. Specifically that Waimalu shopping strip mall with the Kapiolani Coffee Shop, Chun Wah Kam, and Zippy's. It borders Kam Hwy and is diagonally across from Cutter Ford Aiea.
Passers by or other mongers might have noticed around midnight that these scantily clad providers come out of the wood works to show their stuff. Being so close to the residential district I find it a hard sell. I myself have never ventured further than speeding by them at no less than 15 mph. I don't want to be marked as a curbside monger just yet.
I know also that there is a small yet evident group of tranny's in the area also. I'm not into that, so I'm hoping not all of the curbside providers are of that affiliation. I guess only because I would feel a bit weird that I did a double take on some lady-guys. Gross. Anyway, I know I'm not that numb and my guy-dar is usually pretty good. But believe me I'm not anti-gay, homophobic or a tranny hater, I just don't favor those dudes for my own mongering purposes. And I do believe I saw some real ba-dussy.
Anyone seen them too? Whats the deals? Any stories?
I see them from time to time when I'm passing by late at night. They usually walk across the street btw the two bus stops. They look bigger than me and kinda spooky; plus the area can get pretty bad too.
An article in the August 13-19 issue of the Honolulu Weekly newspaper, p. 26, states, in part: "When politicians and police cracked down after public outcry on the visibility of prostitutes in Waikiki and Chinatown, the industry simply pushed into someone else's backyard. " Oh, really? I'd sure like to know where the "backyard" is they pushed into. It sure wasn't my backyard (durn it! ) And, I haven't been able to locate any "backyard" that is the carnal cornucoppia anything like what the greater Downtown/Chinatown/Palama area was a couple of years ago. Can anyone provide any enlightenment in that respect?
Agreed. I sometimes wonder where they all went? Jail, dead, new life?
But most likely, a different state.
BTW Kap, you could have a nice relay team if they keep sprinting half a block LOL.
That one was young and energetic. Watching her run in my rear view mirror, I was impressed. On the other hand, I've encountered some street providers who have been so lazy or tired that if they're sitting down, they don't even stand up and walk over to my vehicle when I've shown interest in speaking with them. Instead they will reply "What did you say?" or "Huh?" if they can't hear.

Lazy
I second that. Actually, I see a lot of lazy ones or ones that just hangout not really looking to work it. Makes it a little harder to approach especially if theyre bunched up with others, at least I think its harder. But then again you got those that work the sidewalk, waving at everyone that passes by.

If I were giving advice to downtown streetwalkers on how to attract more customers, here are some of the things that I would suggest: (1) don't stand around bunched together in a group -- some customers will be less likely to stop, because they may feel less comfortable confronting a group and/or they don't want everyone to hear what should be a private conversation; (2) if you're reasonably attractive, try to stand where there is sufficient light for customers to have a clear view of you at night; (3) choose a location where customers can easily pull over and stop to speak with you, not a location where that may be difficult; (4) don't waste time playing with your cellphone and/or having lengthy social conversations on your cellphone, as customers pass by unnoticed; (5) show some enthusiasm, be cheerful, smile, wave, etc., to attract more customers -- fewer customers will be interested in women who look grumpy, irritable, tired or bored; (6) have some initiative and approach the vehicle when a customer wants to speak with you -- don't lazily sit or stand too far away to hear the customer, and then say "What?" or "Huh?"; (7) don't lose interest and give up if a customer doesn't stop the first time (or even the second or third time) he sees you, because some customers like to carefully observe the scene and circle around several times before stopping; and (8) don't have any man, including your parasite "boyfriend," standing or sitting too close to you -- few customers will stop if a man seems to be with you.
Any more suggestions to add to the list, guys?

List
Kap your list is pretty good. But I have noticed that a bunch of the longs girls always talk on their cell or got their cell out and makes like their talking! A lot hang in groups out by zippys which includes guys. Picking up a SW can be tricky because on one hand you want to be discreet about it, but on the other hand, its hard to be discreet and c/talk to the SW in some decent lighting.

Early Morning Cruise
Drove through downtown this morning and found no females except the Longs Girls. Be warned, the mahus (who incidentally seem to outnumber the female providers) seem to have spread to Maunakea St Mauka of N Kukui St and Nuuanu Ave Mauka of S Kukui St.
Headed Ewa on Kamehameha Hwy in Aiea and found the providers in front of the bus stop across the street from Cutter Ford. There are about half a dozen of them and none of them are female.
Drove elsewhere to get my nut on.

Keep in mind, that the SW's in DT aren't in the best of mind (from drugs. Etc) or just plain tired. To do all that for 12 hours straight is asking a lot. However, if they could do all that, it'd be great. I personally have never picked up at SW with her "man" around. Also, if they are just going to sit around on the curb with their head down, they'd might as well find a nice patch of grass to take a real nap cause no one is going to pick them up like that.

They are going to make the guy on the phone with the sustenance wait, while they get insulted with a low bid from some jack-off afraid to get out of his car.

Yes, but if a provider did do it, maybe she wouldn't have to be out there "for 12 hours straight," because she could attract more business in less time. :)
