Now I fully understand why the Admins just handed out bans before. I originally voted in favor of a fight thread, but unmoderated 'free speech' seems overrated when abused. I'm fully in favor of returning to the strict policy for all threads and eliminating the fight thread.
Or an idea, limit the number of daily 'fight' posts a member can instigate. Ie, I can go off the deep end once in a 24 hour cycle within the fight thread, but exceeding a set frequency might still be a flagged offense. Like one instigation and one response per 24 hrs. Perhaps make people more thoughtful about posting? Dunno. Maybe that is wishful thinking.
