So I have spent some time working Reddit and Tinder trying to see if there is any path to anything out there. Scam after scam after scam. Is seeking any better? Or am I just going to pay a fee to get scammed there too?

I've had no luck on tinder / bumble in the cleveland area. Like you say just scams. Now, travel to other more active locations. Even Columbus, and with a bit of effort and trained eye you'll find some good talent. Now go to a well built up area and it works quite well. I just spent the last few days in the OC. Matched a girl from Laguna Beach. Long story short, it was a dream scenario. Mid morning match, within minutes I was picking her up at the Starbucks on the beach, fed her a bagel, and took her back to my hotel. Helped that she just skimmed my profile and didn't notice my age, I look young for my age. She was surprised but not turned off when she found out I was twice her age LOL. Anyways, experiences like that will keep me testing the waters when I travel but it's a lost cause in Cleveland.

I think you spot most of the scams from a million miles away. The gal will be way too hot for Cleveland or a $300 meet up.
The majority are just unstable chicks who need money. They may get pissed or be a pain, but that's all their crazy moods and how respectful you are.

Sometimes my inbox fills with scammers and like Joe said, they don't belong in CLE, you can tell they are fake. Also, remember, if you have a picture up in your profile, they see what you look like and if they are not interested, you don't get a bunch of scammers. Write up a nice summary, be truthful and not specific. Toss a few pics up (even if you have to put them in Private) and release them once you have one interested. Sit back and wait. Search for exactly what you want (but remember, we are in Cleveland).
Never discuss details on the site. Never. Take it offsite with your burner #. If she won't msg offsite, pass and move to the next one. There are plenty out there.
