If so this would seem to be a case of LEO reverse profiling if they do .

They say we trap ourselves and they can induce in any way they wish. That made me uneasy about what we consider safe LEO checks. John school is once a month and I don't know why a non-arrested person could not attend. Interesting gathering because most in the room (a church in East Nashville) went through a whole lot about why they were innocent... Ex-hooker who related how many times she was busted before she got out and how many times she helped LEO catch folks in the hobby. I got sent a photio in an email to pique my interest and was not as careful as I knew to be. They have street knowledge and will cater their traps to catch the foolhardy of the day who believe that something in the bait made them immune. Short of actually getting into the act, I think they can do pretty much whatever they please. See cops who partake of illegal drugs in order to work their way up the chain to a kingpin type. Be bery, bery careful with what you think a cop can and cannot do. Waste their time and exchange lots of emails is one of my favorites for some of the more obvious, but don't commit even in an email because they link info all the time.
I must add that I was an avid Craigslist monger a few years ago and 'got my tee shirt'. Unfortunately, it was a hard lesson. However, a very good learning experience. I remember the add excluded black men and requested only 'executive' type.

They do whatever they need to get an arrest, point blank if you ask or the provider ask, are you le, do you expect them to say yes? Its like asking the lady if she has good pussy?
