Not so sweet and innocent

I'm pretty sure I've seen this one somewhere before. I just can't put my finger on it.
Frustratingly short or non-responses to basic questions
What are your guys strategies for sb's who seem incapable of responding with anything more than a fractured sentence or two? Personally, I have been burned and am tired of wasting time with a meet and greet then getting alone only to find out that the menu is extremely limited or there is some other issue that would have caused me to avoid the date altogether had I known ahead of time with a little conversation. That's why I like to discuss as much as possible ahead of time in terms of allowance and what's on the menu. I'm not trying to write novels or have them answer 20 complicated questions, but even with 2-4 simple questions and / or a short paragraph, I'm lucky to get an even a partially formed coherent sentence with so many of them. I understand they probably get a ton of messages and I understand the need for discretion but why does it have to be so difficult to lay out some sort of basic understanding with so many of them, especially if they seem kind of interested? Anyhow, just wanted to vent a little bit and see what you guys do when this happens to you. Do you stick with it channeling the patience of a horny saint or do you just move on? Or something else?
