You buy a prepaid card, they convince you to give them the digits to "confirm the funds" (basically the card # as well as the login / pw).
You know what happens next. The funds are gone in a flash, and the scam artist moves on to the next sucker. . .
GreenDot or any other prepaid card will NOT help you get your money back and the cards are in no way insured.

It must be profitable, and there must be an ample supply of naive mongers out there? They will tell you they use pre-paid cards so they can't be busted by LE. I once set up an appointment with one of the scammers just to screw with them. I went through all the steps he or she asked me to do via text. The perp will only communicate by text. I was sitting in my house the whole time and never actually went out and got a green dot card. Then when I was asked to give out the # on the back of the card before she comes down and lets me in the gate of an apartment complex, I texted her / he to go *uck themselves. The scammer could be a guy or girl and be operating from another city for all we know? What's really deceiving is that the pics they use appear to be real and don't show up using Google Image or Tineye. I don't know if the pics for this ad check out?
