About 10 years ago Las Vegas had a major crackdown on prostitutes. It was called Pimp and hoes daily I believe. They arrested most of the SW's and they had to go through mandatory sex education. There a lot of SW's from LV in SD for many years. Some of the girls told me about the crackdown.

There's a big difference between human trafficking and simple prostitution. Harassing street walkers and pulling over mongers cruising the track does nothing to stop pimps or sex slave traders.
We need another economic crisis or a bigger war if politicians have nothing better to do than get involved in people's private sex lives. They're inventing problems to solve so they can justify themselves.
Prostitution has always existed and always will. It's a victimless crime when the girl works of her own free will. If they want to put a dent in sex trafficking, they they need to decriminalize prostitution so the girls can come forward when someone actually tries to victimize them.

A lot of the funding is coming from the dept of Homeland security. They have been giving local police departments to pay for thing such as video cameras. It's beyond me how prostitution is a homeland security matter. There is really nothing to prevent a SW to quit if she has a pimp or is being trafficked.
