It's listed on channel 12's site for local news but says the sheriff ran a sting etc with 15 guys caught. Where is this? Am I missing a nearby stroll and possible ho's?

WTF? Why is channel 12 carrying news from Greenville SOUTH CAROLINA under their local news? Guess they're just as dumb as most up here.

Did quite a few runs during the week and actually 3 more tonight. An early, a midnight and a late night/early morning one as well. Just about all of them had skanks out there but the nice ones have been few and far between. Mostly light to nonexistent LEO presence on most of them too.
One common thing was scum bag drivers, more than one idiot where their rims or sound system cost more than the car did. So many dumbasses driving with either no lights at all or their highbeams on. Not to mention going down one way streets the wrong way, running lights etc.
There was a BAD wreck in Pawt a few hours ago, dbag ran the light and tboned another car doing like 40 mph. Right by the Walgreen's.
She text me today out of the blue. Any one know where she's been & is it safe to see her? She's been around a long time.
I know she checked out the forum, so Janet, we miss you. She was def chill, and one of the best providers. Maybe she will return in the future. Either way, if not good for her. Last time I heard she was in jail, but she should have been out by now. Hope she is good.

Had work in the area, so had a look around Thursday and Friday nights. Empty Thursday, one pass along Cranston and Atwells. But they have a wide latitude about who they stop and why, especially in known crime areas. With license plate readers, they don't need to stop you, to know who you are.
For me, if I have no legit reason to be in an area, I simply don't go. Not worth the potential hassle.

Whether it's because you got hungry so pulled off the highway to find someplace to eat, or find a bathroom, or you are trying to find a local business (have one in the general area in mind), make sure you have your story straight. Boil your answer down to a single sentence don't make it detailed. If you were visiting a friend you don't have to name the friend or provide the address.
ALSO. Don't have a smart phone visible or have a smart phone mount on your dash. It's hard to claim you are lost or looking for an address if you have a smart phone sitting oout in plain site.
They'll try to intimidate you but you don't HAVE to answer any questions, that's the whole 'you have the right to remain silent' thing.
If they had evidence to arrest you they would, so unless your plate or sticker is expired or you did some idiot driving maneuver they are stopping you to intimidate you and see if you are dumb enough to incriminate yourself so they CAN arrest you. Don't do their job for them.
If you are all flustered and nervous they'll assume you are up to something, but they probably figured that before they stopped you and that is why they stopped you.
You'd be better off. If you have the balls for it. Being the one asking the questions. Initially ask the officer politely if there's a problem follow up and ask why you were stopped. He won't answer, ask him again when comes back after running your plates.
Once they've run your registration and checked your insurance they'll come back and try to get you to talk. Politely ask if you are free to go. They'll try to drill you and get you to incriminate yourself. If you want to tell them something tell them the reason you were in that neighborhood. Keep repeating you explanation keep it the same don't add details that might trip you up. Keep asking if you are free to go.
Eventually they'll either let you go (and probably tell you they don't believe you and that they don't want to see you in that neighborhood again) or arrest you, but unless you've said soemthing to incriminate yourself it's extremely unlikely they'll arrrest you, I wouldn't advise doing this for obvious reasons but even if you told them "I am cruising around looking for prostitutes" they don't have any actionable evidence you were doing that or were going to actually solicit prostitutes or give them money in exchange for sex.
Best way to not be in that situation is either not drive in areas known to be frequented by streetwalkers or keep a low profile by driving conservatively signalling when you turn staying under the speed limit etc and don't do things that will catch LE attention like driving up and down the same street or driving completely around a block in a circle or weaving in and out of all the back streets of a neighborhood. You are 1000% more memorable to a cop seeing you on a deserted side street than you are in traffic driving down a main street.

It seems to me like they could charge you with criminal intent if you made that statement on the streets. Whether or not it sticks in a court of law or not is another story, but I feel they could take you in.
