If I didn't reply to your message it was only because the dance card filled up quickly with members that I know or have corresponded with in the past and had nothing to do with your post or reputation on this site. Unfortunately this trip didn't pan out for any of us and sorry to my friends who's time may have been wasted. I doubt I will be trying to put together another trip because I don't have the patience or time it takes to deal with such an endeavor.

On a side note does anyone know how to get ahold of DJmiles? I see he is a banned member now. Don't know what he did and not asking to find out what happen just have some info I would like to give to him.

So I just received a call from the Miami Dade police department and it was some detective talking about prostitution or something. I was in the car with my family and couldn't talk. Thought it was a prank or scam. Hung up and blocked the call. Googled the number and it's Miami Dade police. Have not been to Miami in months. Any advice?

2) scam. Very easy to 'spoof' a phone number into caller I'd -CID shows a number that looks valid and if you look it up, it tracks back to a legit place --such as M-D PD. But its actually coming from some dirtbag, probably in a foreign country, using an IP phone.

I would tend to think #2 --if it were legit, and you terminated the call on them, theres almost no chance they wouldn't immed dial you back -cops have a thing about Control and Compliance (sometimes justified, sometimes not). These sounds like a scammer fishing. Either way, Blocking is the correct move. Forget it.

LEO does not introduce themselves that way nor their appearance is initially on the phone to prevent you about a delicate matter like this. Investigations like this they are done with total discretion and when it has something valuable to inquire or to confirm, then they come with the warrant. Definitely a scam, due to the lack of a burner phone on your end to make the contact with initial providers.

I'll discard it.
