Just wanted to know if anyone goes for the deposit or pre-pay BS? I see for first time customers, but not regulars for providers I know are real. I just can't do it, has anyone ever done and it worked out especially with out of town / traveling ones? I have had even done a few high end and never been asked to prepay, it just says scam to me and I move on.

This is a never-ending topic that Mongers don't seem to get. Members on here will post to warn us that "(ex Mandy) just ripped me off bcuz I was stupid enough to give her my hard earned cash upfront / via TrashApp bcuz she promised me the time of my life". I've probably missed out on some good fun on several occasions bcuz I refuse to play the Pre-pay Game. That's fine; Cool with that. Money still in my pocket. The only exception I make is when I'm traveling to other cities and am seeing higher end providers with alot of reviews on TER where they mentioned deposits. I don't like doing it, but have never been burned. New York is a good example. You can certainly find good providers that don't require it, but it's become very common for it to be a requirement amongst quality providers. And if you really want to see a particular provider, it's the only choice. I've done it many times now. This is the only exception I make. If I see a local ad with a deposit required, I move on every time.

The one thing I will never make an exception on is providing real life information on me. I do not like the trend of requiring a picture of your license or a business card, or a LinkedIn profile. It's becoming much more common, but I will never do that under any circumstances. That's why I do P411.

The white knight posts followed by a deluge of requests and ultimately it ruins the provider with with GPS or bad experiences. It typically ends badly.
