Do a simple search and read the A-1 posts back in Feb and March

A-1 has NOT reopened. Went by today and even the sign is gone. It was located on the edge of a small shopping center, although you didn't enter through the center. The sign on the shopping center still has the site listed. Sure do miss them.

I have run into this before. I tip the going rate, and always have. I will not allow them to over charge me. Besides, we are in a recession and they can't charge more than the going rate.

But, never tip more than the going rate. Or every person that follows you will have to deal with bitches like this.

Well this may very well be my new favorite place in all of Ventura County!
For the as yet uninitiated, Cherry Blossom Spa is located in a fairly decent strip mall on Ventura Road between Fifth Street & Wooley Road, with plenty of parking in front (and back if needed).
Since they have only been open since January of 2010 the place is practically hospital-room immaculate, with an open but well-decorated lobby, fresh off-white paint and light hardwood floors throughout. The room is just that-a large walk-in tiled area bigger than some session rooms I've been it, with a locking door and shower curtain for total privacy.
There are 3-4 session rooms each as clean and well-designed as the rest of the place, with a plain but satisfying American feel to it. None of that Asian garage sale hodgepodge "thrown together with a pitchfork in about two minutes" look here. (The photos don't do it justice.) There is even a locking cabinet for safe-keeping one's personal effects in each room.
On my first visit, I was greeted at the window by "Cherry" herself (LOL)! A thin mature (not old) plain looking mixed-race Asian clad in loose-fitting running or exercise-type nylon clothing with hair clipped tightly up and behind her head. She professionally welcomed me in and walked me to the room before taking my $90 1-hour fee ($100 for hot oil), then gave me a quick tour to show me the shower and restroom. Since it was obvious to us both this was my first visit I wasn't about to lie or play games, rather see how open this place operated to "newbie" customers.
I had by this time assumed "Cherry" was the acting Manager as she deposited me in the room to strip and lie down. I was instead surprised to see her return for the session (she seemed to be the only one working that day) and that much more surprised to see her rather drastic change in appearance. Her longish hair now flowing loosely, she returned to the room wearing some sort of silky lavender halter-top camisole-looking garment that nearly covered her torso revealing a small thin figure of a woman.
Cherry started in the session along with a nearly non-stop dialog of conversation about anything and everything from the business to her personal life and was totally open about it all. I might have been put off by this had I been in the mood for a quiet relaxing session, but with this my first visit it was much more important to me to gain her trust and some sort of "working relationship" while learning what I could about the Spa itself. Although heavily accented, her conversational English is quite strong, and this is one very bright lady-no screwed up life and man hating druggie this time around.
The "massage" was anything but, and consisted of not much more than her small silky-smooth hands and fingertips lightly brushing over my skin as we both jabbered on myself making it a point to laugh heartily at her odd stories of life experiences. The whole time she rested her panty-less behind on the backs of my legs, and broke the massage strokes with an occasional light kiss.
On the flip less than 20 minutes into the hour this strange "How's the weather?" sort of conversation continued as the "therapy" turned ever more "sensual", and I was glad I paid for the full 60 minutes as I quickly racked up "safe points" with her while the seconds ticked by.
Just then Cherry asked what I wanted. Before I could answer, and as if she was a waitress listing the lunch specials she offered to finish the hour "like this....this...or this" with all the appropriate hand and body gestures, then suggested "All three?". When I said yes, she replied "Oh good-a combination!" and I half expected to get bread and salad as well!
She dropped her top revealing healthy baby-smooth skin and pretty plump breasts, made things safe and fun and managed to wrap her limber body around mine while STILL keeping the conversation and laughter going, and with none of the fake enjoyment performance or attempt at male-ego boosting BS.
During the clean-up she had to run as the front bell rang, and I was quick to hand her a tip ($100 to continue future good service), yet she NEVER asked, or even discussed price the entire time together, and barley glanced at the 2 $50 I gave her (I probably could have gotten away with one, but didn't want to risk spoiling a great session) I was also quick to get out of her way knowing now she was indeed the only one working. Once depositing only the second customer of the day into his room she did her quick change back into her "Manager's Outfit" and ever so politely walked me to the door, leaving me with a hug and kiss. A genuinely nice lady who seems to have it pretty well together.
it was only then I looked at my watch (there was NO clock in the room that I saw) and realized I had spent over an hour and a half enjoying myself!
In short, I WILL be back!

I haven't been there, but your review certainly sounds like a hell of a good time. I'm a bit surprised they charge $90 for an hour. In the Star they advertised $20 off for a total of $30. So, $90 for an hour is a huge rip off.

From what I understand, the House gets most of the entrance fee, and the tip goes primarily to the person providing the service. So, what I've done in the past is given the amount (in this case $30) and the coupon and said, "half hour". When I go back a second or third time they usually recognize me and I just hand them the fee without a coupon.
I did experience a similar problem some time ago. the sgn on the door said $50 for an hour, so I handed her $60.00 expecting change and the change never came. I tried to bring it up, but she just smiled and said, "good, good". Her English got remarkably worse. After that experience I alway brought in the correct change no matter where I went.
If a provider (not a knockout) trys to up sell on FS or a BJ, I stick to my guns. I am prepared to leave if they try and play hard ball with me. However, I've never had to leave. Yet...

I took a quick 3-store front tour of what might be called "Parlor Row" (i.e. 1500 block of Los Angeles Avenue) in Simi Valley, and here's my findings. Of concern t most would be the open-air locations, along side a big traffic-filled street and wide open front entrance.
First of all, the services and pricing and extras were virtually all the same. None of the ladies in these all-Asian establishments offered up much in the way of conversational English, (interestingly, none came forth with a name for future visits) instead allowing their hands to go right to work even know full-well I honestly told them it was my first time there, and gave no hint as to expecting any "bonus material" with my massage. Neither showers or FS appeared o be on the menu.
The differences lie in the cleanliness of the houses and quality of the ladies working, so in "low to high" ranking we have:

The rooms were bare and lifeless, and the lady who serviced was attentive, but unspectacular in looks or talents.

Another part of Simi that has a few MP's is on Erringer by LA Avenue. From the MP's in Simi I have frequented, I would rate them in this Order:
1. Studio Massage
2. W&H Massage
3. Evergreen
4. 888 Health
They all have different levels of service offered, and as a regular you usually get better service. The prices are also reasonable for door fees. Studio is $40. for an hour, while W&H Evergreen and 888 are $50.00 per hour. Even though JJ has some action, I just don't like the place for all the reasons you indicated.

This place is in agoura hills, thought I would put it in here because it is still closer to ventura county than to LA.
Went to QQ the other day after seeing it advertised in the VCstar. It is located in a discreet office building right past the thousand oaks city limits.

My guess he pled guilty to avoid life without parole and the the will leverage him to testify against the other defendants. They will probably plea bargain too. A public hanging would be good. Even better would be a "pubic" hanging. LDP
