Unlike the Osaka of the golden era, where low prices and lots of extras ruled, Osaka is now expensive, staffed by poor quality and lazy girls and no extras. The place is also filthy inside, so I wouldn't go there even if you are not looking for extras.

Tina & Company at Oxygen are very good (Tina provides an excellent deep tissue massage), but as with most Tampa AMPs now, the menu for extras is very limited.

If you are looking to find FS, multiple girl sessions, prostate massage and other extras that were available at Osaka during the golden era, you really should check the St. Petersburg Massage board.

I was reading the sports section in today's newspaper and noticed

(1) None of the AMPs with the best reviews* even bother to advertise.

(2) The AMPs that do advertise in the sports section are poorly regarded in the Massage Parlor forums in Tampa/St Petersburg. They fall into three categories (rip-offs, no extras or poor service)

However, there was one AMP advertising in the newspaper that I was unclear about - (New) Gold Spa. The "Old" Gold Spa had a few decent reviews, but my review of the Tampa Massage forum showed nothing good in the last 12 months. Has anyone been there recently? Has it gotten any better?


* Ahoha-Ulmerton, OK Spa, Spring, Pinetree are consensus choices as best AMPs on the St Petersburg Massage Parlor forum. Oxygen and Magic Spa have the best reviews on the Tampa Massage forum.

Don't bother, typical rub and tug now. OK service, friendly, but still another no-specials place.

You can see the extra enforcement in Pinellas also. I'm sure it will be interesting to see how many massage parlors and jack shacks they nail before its over. The girls are thinking they are going to make lots of money and some will but the cops are watching all of them.

An amp worker told me last week that they were adding extra staff for the Superbowl, but that they were much more wary about offering services. I declined to play today, though it would have been easy.

I'll be coming to Tampa this weekend and had no plans... until I read this post. What is the "standard Tampa rate"? I've been to spas in Atlanta and it is usually .6 door fee and $$ for the full menu.

Door Fees
.6 is 1/2 hour (Usually no time for ts) DON'T SAVE MONEY HERE IF YOU WANT EXTRAS LATER
.8 is hour with table shower BE SURE TO TAKE THE TABLE SHOWER

Tips (some girls will ask for more, hold firm, start to back off and most will cave) Their culture is to test you. Hold firm and earn their respect.

.2 = tease, but no HE
.4 = HE
.6 (long time regular girl) to .8 (not your regular girl) = CBJ
1.2 (long time regular girl) to 1.6 (new girl) = half and half multiple position FS
$$ = a 2nd girl at the ending (4 hand massagee) or maybe 2 shots on goal

Also trust me on this - I learned the hard way. Asian girls are cleanliness freaks and like doing the cleaning themselves. The place is called Innerscent. 3804 W North A Street in Tampa. A plain, non-descript yellow building. There was an ad in Creative Loafing for a $40 special. That was the door fee for a half hour. $60 for 45 minutes. No table shower for the $40. Cute masseuse in a short black dress in her 30's.

I'm off for another toe curler with Yumi at Magic today. I have to give her an A- for the massage. It was great. It was strong. It hit all the right spots, but was not as smoooooth as only Tina can do.

Miyako. Total Rip-Off

Found myself in NPR this evening and in need of relief. Not wanting to drive to my regular haunts, wheeled into Miyako. What a mistake. Not even a handshake could be had. Times are tough and had saved for a while for the full menu. What a disappointment. Demanded to see Mamasan but was not there tonight. Whatever. Left furious and ruined my whole evening. I'm done with the AMP's and the inconsistent service. I won't forget this experience and hope others are warned as to put this sh*t hatle out of business. Feel free to pm me for any other details. I know I'm not a senior member or contributor but have been a long-time lurker. Hope this helps.

You don't need to be done with the AMPs -just pick one of the recommended ones there and have fun. Sounds like Miyako is a bad choice. So is the Oriental Spa on 19 in Palm Harbor. It's just a matter of finding a good place.

I've had limited experience there but it was slightly better than fair. It's the same anywhere you go, if you're new then in this current atmosphere you may not be a trusted client right off. Also, attitude going in on your first visit is pretty important. Don't forget, it wasn't that long ago that someone at Miyako was busted. All the girls tend to be careful anywhere after someone is busted.

I have to second IM2 here. Think of it as the "Third date". My limited experience has shown me that first visit is more of an investment than any kind of return. I came up dry twice at new places and it really does piss you off. Read the forum, find a place you like and feel somewhat safe at, and just build some face/ass time with. I actually feel this is safer for the girls and for us regulars. When there is a new girl in the shop, just before the flip, one of the seniors will come in and just casually play with your toes or hair. You are actually being checked out and getting a green light or a turn down. Getting to that green light might simply takes a few visits. One you are there... you are in.

I saw the old Bangkok Spa has turned into Kennedy Spa. Then I saw a little sign on the door saying it was closed. Tampa's finest must have paid them a visit right after their first Krispy Kreme.

I Had some business in NPR yesterday, so I decided to make a stop at Miyako Spa. I've been there many times and know what to expect. And I always see the same attendant, Angie. Angie is early to mid 40's, but could easily pass for early 30's. She has always treatted me right. Even the first visit was a happy visit.

I can't vouch for any of the other girls that work there. I think that Angie may be the most popular.
