One More Time: Spring Spa
So I decided to give Spring Spa one last try. I took a shower at home, first, since they don't have that option (see my earlier post).
I got there shortly after they opened up and felt uneasy about going in while there was all the construction going on. With the slowed pace of traffic people have plenty of time to look at who is going in and out of the place.
The same woman I met a few days ago was at the reception desk, this time in cutoffs and a tight tank top. Very cute and nicely figured. I later learned her name is Maria and she has a very pleasant attitude. I paid $65 for the one hour. I noticed 4 hand massage was available, but she seemed to be the only person there, and I only brought enough cash for the basics, anyway.
The room she took me to was neat and clean, but the walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling, which filled me with trepidation. But I was there to TOFTT, so I proceeded to get comfortable. While I undressed I heard her lock the front door. Yep. She must be the only person on duty. I guess you need to call ahead to get 4 hands on you.
The massage was nothing short of phenomenal. Maria really knows what she is doing. I decided I was going to give her a healthy tip, afterwards, even if it was straight up massage work. She was that good! Before the flip there was some light touching and I tried to indicate she could help herself to the goods by raising my butt up in the air. She giggled, patted me, and told me I could turn over.
More fantastic work on my muscles after the flip. The work on my feet and scalp took me by surprise. How can hands so tiny be so powerful? And then. She gently stroked my chest and asked if there was anything else. I played guide for her hands and then solemnly promising it would be our little secret ("I not do this, but I like you!") she got right to work.
It started out heavenly, and I thought I was in for one of the best southern workovers in my life, but as we hit the finish line, those tiny, powerful hands were gripping me so hard it actually kept me from going over the edge! I had to explain things to her, a little, and she obligingly tried again with a (thankfully) softer touch, which resulted in success.
I was given a nice bottle of cold water & a hug and sent on my way. $60 tip. She earned it, even if she was throttling my fifth limb, at one point.
As I left, I was embarrassed to find the parking lot full and people on cars, staring at me. The pizza place next door was open for lunch and seems to have quite a following. I hurriedly got to my car, hoped no one I knew was on 31 or in a car in the parking lot, and hightailed it home.
So, final thoughts? This place has potential. The talent is awesome, but needs a little coaching. Lack of table shower is a big minus, as is the lack of privacy both because of the low walls and the location of the damn place. It might be better to hit this place up after the construction is finished. And not during lunch or rush hours. I'm also concerned about its stability, due to its location.
Some of you may be wondering: Blue Sky or Spring? Which do you prefer? Spring has superior talent for the massage, but the lack of amenities and the way-less-than-discreet location make me awfully nervous. Blue Sky is wonderfully hidden from view, has decent talent (great, actually, post-flip) and a table shower. I'd say, go with Blue Sky.
And a question for you gentlemen: are 4 hand massages worth it? What are some of your experiences?
Be careful, out there.
Marigold in Carpentersville
Stopped by the other day and see they have a new HUGE LCD Tv in the waiting room with a bubble motif running on it, complete with sound. I didn't know if I wanted to relax or pee. I had "the new girl" by the name of "She She" . Phonetic spelling. Nice time, usual service. Massage maybe an 8 on the AMP scale. Looks maybe a 7. Age, indeterminate as usual, maybe 35?
Mamasan did say that they have a special for the month of August and it's. 79 for 90 minutes. That's eleven off the usual price and they now have five ladies to serve. I've never gone for a 90 minute session, but may have to try it before the month is out. The regular session is. 6 which is cheaper than most now.
