To recount my internet non-pro experiences (it's been a while since I've explored these things, so things may have changed):
I've had one ongoing hook up from AFF (she initiated contact. Never got any results from contactes *I* initiated. I guess she just liked my profile!).
I've had one really nice hook-up from Lavalife (SHE paid for the room at a high-end hotel!), and several (really) close calls. One would have been successful if we'd been able to find a room on short notice. As it was, we made out in the car in a mall parking lot for awhile and both of us left frustrated.

Another observation - if I was a single guy, or had been willing to lie and SAY I was single, I would have had a lot more luck, Being married was a deal-breaker 90% of the time. However, at least three of my successful hook-ups happened *because* I was married and therefore less threatening. Two were married themselves, and one was a young, just out of college cutey who had a thing for older married men. Her reasoning? "You have more to lose than I do, so I know I can trust you!".
Oh yeah - 90% of all "W4M" ads on proflles on all of these sites are spam - usually webcam girls. But you learn to spot'em pretty quickly.
She is a great gal that the three of us (aaglen, you and me) really enjoyed. I would have made a trip over had I known! Let me know next time, please!

Just for the heck of it i decided to try this out. I found that pretty much all of the ads were spam bots. Most of them gave auto replies. The ones that didn't told me to look up their profile and it ended up being a hookup site or something like that. CL should find a way to filter these out.

Well CL does have a few real women; However, hey are usually not too good looking, but they expect the guys they contact to be the "cream of the crop". CL is like most of this online sites, overwhelmingly spam with a few real girls who know the odds are stacked in their favor so they can "upgrade" the type of guy they seek since they can't get that type of guy offline (well they could but they hide their slutiness in public so the guys don't know).
So if you're a very good looking guy (especially if you're a good looking white guy given there are lots of black women looking for white guys in that section) you can have a CL hookup. I helped gb some chick off there once and had 2 almost encounters that the chicks backed out of at the last minute.

Let me pull you guys off your high mis informed horse and pull your coat tails to the real facts. A few black women (and that does include the hooker profession) prefer non men of color as some women, not of color (including hookers again) prefer men of color. Just the way things are.

Well it seems like to totally took everything I mentioned WRONG. This post was saying any guys who want to try to just hook up with a chick off of the CE sectio of CL that DOES NOT involve $ stands a better chance if they were white.
