Saw 1 SW along Xenia but only a 3-4. Heavy LE on the east side. Didn't see many, at least none above a 4 on the east side. Nothing on Dixie so hit Neff. Got a great bbbfj from Lori. Told me where she lives for future hits. Also went back and saw Angel. Not real enthusiastic but decent performance. Lori is a 7-8 blonde and Angel is a cute 19-19 YO.

Well, lately I've been finding myself in Dayton around early afternoon with nothing to do so I've taken up spotting. I typically don't have much time to play with so I don't hobby but I do spot.
Action around the no-tell motels on Keowee and Dixie is pretty good. I'm seeing a fair amount of WSW hanging out and walking around in the lots looking around. Fortunately, I have an aversion for the parking lots which means I don't go there. It's too easy for LE to be waiting where you don't see them or to see you pull out and then they make up a reason for a creative traffic stop to get your info and harass you.
Most of what I'm seeing is WSW about 6's and 7's around the no-tell near Siebenthaler. A few 5's and 6's near the crossover bridge (where Keowee becomes Dixie) and lastly a few 5's, 6's and 7's near the McD's on Keowee.
Surprisingly no LE presence around at all. Though I'm sure that changes when it cools down somewhat. I see that they have started the construction around 75. I wonder what those poor unfortunate LE in the substation across from the projects will do to support their lost income. After all, how can drug dealing and prostitution flourish (according to the Dayton Daily birdliner) under the nose of Dayton's finest if someone isn't getting a taste of the candy.
McCook's is slowing down I think. The last few times I've stopped in (even on a Sunday), there was only one dancer. I've never seen them that slow before.

Well I was headed back from Dad's about 2:30 pm yesterday and had some time to myself so I thought I would go out and see if anyone was out. I decided to check out the no-tell motel on Neff first.
I was surprised to see that the chain blocking access was gone. Maybe they finally decided to get rid of the hassle or new management but it's nice to see that it's gone. There were plenty of cars but I didn't see any SW at all.
The no-tell motel at the intersection of Siebenthaler and Dixie was also dry though there were cars in the parking lot. I headed down Keowee and again while plenty of cars were observed at Dayton Motor Motel and the no-tell motel across the river, no SW were seen.
Cutting up fifth to Linden and then down Xenia was also no joy as well. Figures the one day I have time to play no one is out to play with. The upside was no LE presence anywhere on the strip.

I no longer live in the Dayton area, but I'll pass on some info that will help you in the long run.
As a newbie, don't expect people to rush out and give you info they have worked hard to get. It is fairly common knowledge that LE reads the various forums for their local areas. There are reports that LE has even used the PM feature to gather info to make busts.
I am not implying that is your situation, but I am saying more senior members are wary of providing good intel to unknowns, like yourself.
Keep in mind that our hobby is illegal. So if senior members play their cards in close, don't blame them and don't hold it against them or take it personally.
If you have been reading the forum, get out and do some home work. Make some reports on what you have found, where you found her and the like. Basically, you need to earn your wings. This is a tit for tat forum. You give some info you get some info.
There have been, on various local boards, recommendations to make all info exchanges through PMs. I strongly oppose that.
One it means that LE and the moralists have won. The open exchange of info is no more. Secondly, it hurts newbies like you. If a board only allows reports through IMs, then how would someone like you earn the trust and respect of other members.
So if you do not get any PM's with available numbers, don't take it too personally. Just having one post and that asking for info and not providing any in return is not going to earn you too many new friends.
Hey we were all new here once and we all had to go through the initiation period. That time varies from board to board and how well you interact with the others. If you come across as everyone owes me info, you won't succeed.
So do what is called RTFF (see the abbreviations in the menu bar to the forum), get out and report.

I agree with Seva completely. Personally, I'm not fond of people who don't have many posts and start asking for contact info from the get go. It makes me wonder what their real motives are. I have also put (when I have contact info available) senior members only. Yet, I can always count on one or two non senior members sending me a PM asking for the info.

It may be harsh but it's true. If you read the forum for any length of time, you will learn where the spots are, what to avoid and what you should pay. Seva is correct in saying that there was an initiation period. We all had to go through it.
I don't know of any senior member that will share contact info right from the get go to someone who isn't a senior member. The digits were probably hard to come by and also why should we mess it up with someone we don't know a lot about (By that I mean a lack of reports or very low number of reports). It's a safety measure for the senior member and the SW he has the number for.
As far as how much info to give, there are two trains of thought on the subject like Seva said and also I agree with. PM only or enough info to help someone out. I believe in general info. That's the purpose of the forum. You don't give out specifics on your report, only generalities that will give a good idea of what happened, what was paid and where to look. It's a balance really.
However, one thing you do need to do is avoid giving out any personal info on yourself (type of vehicle that you drive). One monger from Columbus area did do that and even posted pics of his face one time doing someone in the back of his type of vehicle. Not too bright.
Too much info is exactly that. Too much. Not enough (PM only) is a waste of a post. It's a good bet that LE does read the board and I'm not too surprised by them sending PM's to people either. It only makes sense. LE has also been going after Craigslist escorts so why not use this forum as well to get the hobbyists.
Think about it. Most LE aren't stupid. They know what's going on in their area. They know who's walking the street when they see them. They know the very nature of the no-tell motels on their beat. However, I also know that some LE are bent and will look the other way as well. Those are very much in the minority though there are some who also just don't want to waste their time doing the paperwork on someone that nothing will happen to.
So RTFF and learn like we all did. There is a list of rules/guidelines for hobbying on the main page. Get out and scout the area where people are posting about. If you want info, post info. Prove to us that you are a good risk to share info with. Once you do that, then you'll know what the senior members are talking about and why we don't give up the contact info so easily.

We are being nice about this. I know several other senior members who would have tried to skewer you and roast you over an open flame. If you doubt this, do a search in the DC forum from several years ago and look for posts by "Trashman".
He was a classic monger willing to tell you nearly everything, but he had little regard for newbies who came in thinking they were owed everything senior members had gathered. He told them in no uncertain terms.
To add on a bit to PC's comments on personal info. Don't include info on other mongers either. If some monger beats you to a lady, don't go telling everyone his make, model and license plate. Wait a few, she'll be back.
This goes even for those mongers dumb enough to pick up a lady in a commercial vehicle, you know the one with the "Joe Blow's Home Improvement" or such on the side.
Digressing from newbie info and on the topic of business vehicles being used to pick up working girls. Does anyone recall the incident in 95 or 96 where an armored car driver picked up a lady in the strip mall McCooks is (was?) located in? I believe he overpaid for the services received. I remember hearing about that for a few days, then it just kind of went away. I figured they never caught the girl. Hopefully all that money didn't go to drugs and she was able to escape the area and start fresh. Who knows, it's kind of like an urban legend now. Have mongered all over the world and contributed lots of information on that forum. Many years ago I used to cruise Dayton but actually much preferred the AMPs as opposed to the SW's. Well, guess what, there are hardly any AMPs anymore except when I get up to the Warren area. When I was cruising it seemed all the action was on N. , Dixie and N. Main st. But it was dangerous because of LE. I have been RTFF and have general idea of some locations and, as a matter of fact, I was in the area Tuedsay evening and have looked around Siebenthaler at Dixie and drove E. 3rd st. Saw nothing. Some of the other streets that are mentioned (e. G. Neff) I don't know where that is. Guess I could google it.
Anyway, any specific info would be appreciated and it it is not forthcoming I understand.
