Right...
HawaiiJoe,
You must of been married a long long time and very very young. Seems like you missed a lot of the P4P scene all these years.
AT2
Haha. Right. Actually, no. I've just been so hard working all these years that I never made it out much.
Suddenly I found myself asking what I've been working all these years for if I'm not getting out enjoying myself. Tired of the bar seen and clubs. I end up spending more each night and for what?
So. I figured why not go out and get what I want without all the bullshit. Get a nice massage and a great finish without all the games. No numbers to exchange, no expectations.
I don't drink much, so I while I've been getting a lot of massages, I haven't been into any of the hostess bars. I'm not sure that would be the best place for me to indulge. Also I get the impression that the HBs are not as clean as the AMPs so I've been more reluctant to venture in.
If I hadn't started here I would probablly never have known where to begin.

ok
I think those are two different girls. Nicole, the one in the picture worked at Sandy and Jen's as a bartender and the current Asia bartender is Chow or Chau(sp?) is a different girl. She did work the floor at Sandy and Jen's also.
Those are definitely not different girls. I remember her specifically because she was so full of herself when me and my friends sat with her at the then Niagara. I know my info may be dated - maybe 5 or 6 months ago? But, she nonetheless used to work at those places. Haven't seen her recently.
AT2,
You mentioned Club Ai a bit ago. I've passed that place a million times, thought it was for Japanese-only (I come from NY, and white guys canNOT get in the door, unless with a Japanese national). But you were there. What was it like? Just a hostess bar? No touching?
If I were you, I wouldn't bother with the place if you want touching or whatever else. It simply doesn't happen on a consistent basis there.

I just never have seen Nicole at Asia. Here's the other bartender Chow or whatever on the right in both pics.

Not trying to impress anyone, just showing Jack First the other bartender that I was talking about.

Cache
Sat with Christy the other day. One drink and went back to the booths.
Against my better judgment, paid $1.5 for BBBJ. But I felt like seeing this sweet girl again. I asked about the "upstairs" again, but this time, she said it's in the back... not upstairs. WTF? So what's upstairs, then? I saw people go up there.
Anyway, sweet girl, but I think I'm moving on. I'm usually an AMP guy, and I just had to try something different (well, when low on cash, I used to go to LH, though).

Upstairs as in next to the bar? If thats what you're talking about, it leads to the driveway. Its the second entrance.

The one on the right works at Asia on Kapiolani as a batender, the one next to her works at Romantei as a hostess. I'm not sure if they play, but some very nice scenery indeed.

Re: Smoking Ban
What do you guys think of the smoking ban that starts on the 16th? Do you think it's going to slow the bar traffic down?
Apparently it has affected business, at least at some of the bars, because the Hawaii Bar Owners Association filed a lawsuit on Tuesday:
http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2007/Jan/31/ln/FP701310383.html
"The lawsuit said association members relied heavily on customers who smoke. But after the law was adopted, the number of patrons 'dropped off dramatically and (the members') resulting income has been drastically reduced,' the suit said."

The one from Romantei is smoking hot. Don't most of the girls from Romantei play? If that is the case, I am so there.

No smoking law

T'other night at my usual pitstop, I heard a guy say that he gets to go out more now because now he doesn't return home smelling of smoke. Apparently, it used to tip off wifey. So I guess there are varying effects of this law.

It's just like the hostess clubs in Japan. They are there to talk, with minimal touching. Your best bet is to use any "Nampa" skills that you have and meet the girls outside of work, if you are looking for action. Not easy to do. You also need Japanese language skills, or the conversations will be a problem. Only a few of the girls can hold an hours worth of conversation in english. It's pricey for what you get. I would say the main benefit for locals at these Japanese hostess bars, is if you are studying the language and want to have live practice.
There are 3 Japanese hostess clubs that I am aware of, and I'm sure there's more that I'm not aware of. You get much more action in a Korean or Viet bar.
