Rants, Raves and Opinions AKA "The Octagon"

In a past life, I covered politics as part of my job.

Then I got someone and a 9 to 5. Then she had to travel for her work, so I came to the boards. And other than the trolls and "too cool for the rules", it was okay.

The last 6 years or so, though, people are ejaculating their opinions on my car enthusiast's site, my travel site, my career networking site, my cooking site. And now here.

Regurgitating something you heard on the radio an hour ago is neither original nor clever. Back in 2008 and 2012, it would earn you a bright shiny nickel:-p.

Now it would just earn you a shiner.

This site does one thing well. It brings female and male, young and old together.

And we both get something other than a lifetime of child support payments out of it.

Let's keep it that way. Thank you.

Thanks, A2. I generally try to avoid discussions of politics most places, because it is usually fruitless and decisive. I didn't want to start any shit in my recent posts, but sometimes I can't help it, I just have to respond. But I spend a lot more time online reading about what politicians are doing than most people. So that's the end of my end. Carry on about that subject near and dear to our hearts, punanni!

Buy really if you need a steady diet of ignorant rants, try reading the comment sections of news sites. Those places exist for people to write things that are never read other than by people as stupid as they are.

I genuinely like most conservative folks better than liberal folks, who I find to be whiny and / or condescending all too often, even though that's more along the lines of my outlook. But liking the conservative folks is only possible if I don't hear about their political views. Honestly, both left and right have it in for the hobby. Left because they think it's exploiting women or human trafficking or some such bullshit. Right because they're more likely to be thumpers. I'm pretty much a libertarian on most things related to the issues at hand in this forum, which is about getting pussy for pay.

I agree. Politics should be kept out of the Octagon. If I want to hear about right wing bullshit, I tune into Fox. If I want to hear about left wing bullshit, I tune into MSNBC. In fact, we usually call each other Monday through Friday around 7:30 am. On Friday and Saturday nights around 10:00 pm I may text him while I am having my glass of wine and a big cigar. Unless he is asleep from chasing pussy all day, he will usually answer. He, Steve4 and I try to get together for lunch as often as possible and plan who we are going to do next. Sometimes the lucky girl will be there to dine with us also. If the lucky girl is there for lunch, BC will try to have his cake and eat it too. I don't know how many time I have had to pull him out from under the table trying to get a sample. One reason that I enjoy being around him is that he makes me feel young. That's because I am older than dirt, but BC is older than me! But like Bill Clinton, he can smell pussy a mile away. A couple of years ago I arranged for Michelle to give him a birthday present that he would never forget. Here are some shots from his birthday present. One is him checking Michelle out and the other two are of Michelle checking him out. I later found out that he fibbed a little. It wasn't his birthday after all!
