Cheeks and DeWine comment
Yes, I heard this was going to close. Apparently the owner has been sued by West Carrolton for past taxes, for using Carmen Electra's likeness and they got busted in a prostitution sting. That could be true.
I'm not sure about past due West Carrolton City taxes, but the Carmen Electra lawsuit was settled out of court about a year ago. As far as the prostitution sting you mention, I believe that occurred in 2014 as someone else mentioned. I think one dancer inappropriately touched an undercover agent during a lap dance and Cheeks received liquor violations. The Ohio Liquor Control Commission provided Cheeks with choice of liquor license revocation or a $25 K fine. Thru the years, Cheeks has fought that ruling in Ohio courts, US District Court, and recently have filed an appeal in US Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. I guess if they run out of appeals, good chance liquor board will get its wish and revoke Cheek's license.
Interesting, in 2014 Mike DeWine was Attorney General of Ohio. At that time, he was using the liquor board to repeatedly harass strip clubs throughout the state. Now as Governor, he still uses the liquor board to harass and destroy restaurants and bars for violating his Covid mandates.
Whats Going On At Cheeks?
Haven't been to Cheeks since Covid started a year ago. What is it like as of today?
Crowded? Free food? Plenty of Dancers of all sizes and types? Whats dance price these days (heard it went up to 30 a song)? And whatever else you care to share is appreciated.
