Be extra careful! Just some observations about the scene.
Over in Tampa a provider I was going to visit texted she was driving back to the same location where we were to meet. She cut off all contact 15 minutes before the meeting. I gave up, and as I left the area, undercover police vehicles were regrouping nearby (I knew it was law enforcement because the guy that got out of one of the vehicles was wearing a vest that read POLICE on it). They had a woman in their special van but I didn't get a good look as I was already far away and leaving in a careful hurry.
Lately several providers-some new, some veterans-are answering their phones with "Wrong Number." As they say it I'm staring at their very recent ads online while comparing it to the number on the foan. It ain't the wrong number.
Didn't hit me until I saw yet another sheriff election sign what the hell's going on.
If that wasn't bad enough, the Pinellas 'riff just fired some deputies for being slackers, which means for now the media and public will have their eyes on the remaining cops, who will no doubt be rounding up the usual suspects trying to look extra busy on top of it being an election year.

I am from Europe and I will visit Tampa next week, and I plan to see a provider or even two.
As mongering in Europe is legal, we do not have the LEO problem here, but I read a lot about it here.
Some posters say they do a LEO check to verify the provider is not a cop or so.
Now my question, how does this check works? I want to make sure not to end up in jail during my vacation.
I bet you can give me some hints.

I asked a senior member the same question recently and essentially the best advice is just to stick to providers who have been reviewed / discussed on here or other sites. If they provided for other people, then they're good to go. Don't go picking providers who you can't find a good solid background of reviews / discussion on. Safest bet. If anything about them seems sketchy then just stay away.

I'm no Matlock, but with the way things are today-lawlessness and shrinking rights while drowning in bullsh1t laws-I doubt the LEO check provides any legal protection at all.
