I won't be working during December due to my breast cancer diagnosis. With the precarious nature of what I do, obviously I don't have any disability to fall back on and if I don't work, bills don't get paid. If any of you could feel it in your heart to assist even a little bit, it would be so helpful and appreciated. I don't like asking for anything, but this is reality and reality says I need a little assistance.

About 25 years ago I met a young woman in San Diego, had a fling with her that lasted several months (we were both married), and over that time I learned her story.
I don't know when she was first sexually assaulted, some time before her 12th birthday. At the age of 12, her mother sold her to a couple who owned a club / brothel near Atlanta. For the first few years she was simply their sex slave. If she resisted in any way she was punished. Punishment might be missing a meal or it might be a beating, or getting locked in a cage for a few days.
When she was 14 they began using her as a prostitute, then at 16 she also danced in their brothel. At 17, her future husband bought her. Until I met her, he kept her in slightly better conditions, although he did beat her frequently, a few times she ended up in the hospital.
At some point between 12 and 14 she had a baby, but she had no idea what happened to it. After a few days her son was taken away.
This type of thing happens, even today. This wasn't some minority in a third world country, it was a white girl right here. In some countries the problem is much worse.
There are many women who choose the sex trade on their own. There are also many who are talked into it by a boyfriend or husband. Most do it from economic necessity, a very few do it because they truly enjoy it. Whether the girl is doing it to buy drugs, or to pay for her winter home in Palm Beach, I support their choice of occupation, sometimes directly.
However, there are many cases where prostitution is not the girl's choice. They are taken away and forced into it. A few lucky ones escape, some get out in other ways, but many live their entire, short lives as a slave.
Whether the shows truly address human trafficking or not, I don't know, but it is an issue and one we all should be aware of.
I had never visited a provider at this hotel before, but it seemed nice enough. Got the room # and headed in. Immediately a woman working for the hotel motioned to a black man who then began to follow me. Followed me up to the floor and then kept a 50 foot gap between us while I "looked" for the room number. He pretended to talk on his phone but I knew instantly he was tailing me. I pretended to be lost and got the eff out of there as fast as I could without giving myself away. Don't know for sure, but seeing as he was tipped off by the front desk employee, I'd wager to say he's either LEO, or private security. Made it out but called provider to tell her they are scouting guests hard.

Here are 2 different situations.
In '92 the name William Kennedy Smith was in the news, the first high profile case of Date Rape. One night my best friend invited me over for dinner and drinks, with his wife and another couple. My wife didn't want to go, so I went alone.
The girl in the other couple claimed she could drink us under the table. Within 2 hours, everyone else was passed out except me and her, I was drunk and she was trashed.
Next thing, she peels off everything and says "fuck me now. " My thought was, what will she say in the morning? I managed to politely refuse and got enough clothes on her to prevent catastrophe. The next day she told me she meant it, and didn't give up until I finally gave in a few days later.
Fast forward a few years, I was widowed and spending spring break in Daytona Beach. For a few days I saw this girl, partying hard. Then one night she stumbled into the little hotel bar where I was staying. She was wearing a tiny black dress, with nothing underneath and was falling down drunk. She was at the stage where she was impossible to deal with, and not far away from passing out. One guy in the bar tried to pick her up, but he didn't have the patience. Another guy decided to wait until she got closer to passing out. I saw what was about to happen and stepped in. If not for the bartender taking my side, it would have been a fight.
I managed to drag her to the hotel desk, got her a room, then took her and locked her in. The next day she looked me up and thanked me.
In the first case, the girl really wanted sex with me, being drunk wasn't an issue. In the second case, the girl didn't want sex with anyone, but that's what would have happened, and it would have been rape.
Too many times men, and it's very common on college campuses, use drugs or alcohol to get a girl to the point where she won't, or can't say no. It's easy to blame the girl. With the holiday I definitely can see them using the airport to set people up. I've had several calls over the last couple of days that were rather suspect including one that through screening showed entries on a blacklist as LE on a number that doesn't show up used often. Reportedly their is a black vice officer here in Indy. Glad you were safe.

If it was a backpage ad then you have posted in the wrong section. If it was an escort you have posted in the wrong section. She's a national provider with stellar reviews going back years, no reason for her to be working with local LEO. I didn't want to negatively impact her business. I think this was more on the hotel looking to crack down on traffic and hobbying by flagging single guys coming into the hotel and heading straight to the elevator. Whatever the case may be, glad I kept my head on a swivel and made it out without some shiny new bracelets.

She's not a traditional provider, if that tells you anything. There seems to be a lot of traffic at the airport for those TypeS of providers, so maybe that's why the hotel was watching close.

I see where other mongers attribute some recon work to Facebook. It sounds like a great tool to use. I have an issue with this and would like some advice on the subject. When I type a phone number in the search box it always seems to come back with a nothing found message. I have tried a known number found on this board and have been assured that it does return results from the search. Not for me! Also I tried a friends number that I know is on his Facebook page, I get the same result, nothing found. Does anyone have the same issue or know what might be the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

A lot of us on here would not have a number associated with a FB account BUT I know some do. When using the search tool on FB a lot of times if the number is associated with an account a name will pop up under the search. I have had luck using this to verify some members BTW. My account has no phone number linked. I cannot search by phone numbers, even when using the area code. On another Facebook account that I have access to, their phone number is linked to an app on their phone. I can look up phone numbers on their account easily, always using the area code. So what I might try is putting in a false phone number into my account and trying it then. Not sure of the correlation with the phone numbers on an account but that is the key. I just haven't figured it out and can't find any help regarding it on Facebook questions and answers.
