Took a little tour yesterday as I was coming from up north. Dead everywhere pretty much. Dreamers had about 9 guys and 1 girl working who was not my type. I'm well dressed and clean cut (because of my job) and have gotten ignored more times than not, even by women that know me. Many times they are on some old, fat guy or hanging with the d-boys. Just is what it is I guess. I've never really been hassled by anyone (other than an annoying dancer) at any of the bars. I'm not a late visitor generally, but I have been by late on occasion. I also don't look like someone who tolerates that kind of thing either.(and am prepared), so there's that.

I'll say this though these are dive bars and anytime it's gets later at night a random drunk guy could pick you to be their target bc of whatever reason. Most of my annoyances with other customers has been some drunk guy wanting to talk to me, an occasional guy pointing at me for no reason. I pretty much keep to myself and am only look to talk to the girls. There's a few guys I recognize from other bars that I might check in to see what the action is like that night. In my opinion the only later night spots that are worth it are lusty and ogd. Those are really the places guys are looking for dances and keeping to themselves. I don't generally go in gspot much after 8. By that time it's turning more into a nightclub and there aren't really dancers. Similarly lucky a certain point is mostly people drinking and partying. You might find some girls dancing until 10 or midnight. The thing that makes lucky worse is it's too tight and cramped. All the other places have room to move around so you don't accidentally bump someone and possibly make them mad.

Not sure, anyone think those brave Lusty and OGD dancers will make it in today, or best to wait for the Browns game to be over?

Large discretionary income, either from social security, pension or selling drugs that gives you a lot of money to throw around. With old white men, from what dancers have told me and I have over heard, it's because they really just a nice, young, hot thing to talk to or they want limited extras in the back. The drug dealer has money to spend and drugs to give out so that is a given as well. As far as safety, these bars are located in south akron which has a lot of crime and like someone told me before they are neighborhood bars with dancers in them, which means whoever lives in the immediate area usually will come in. Like someone else stated there have been shootings, fights and deaths at these bars, but it's not like it's an everyday occurrence but I am not surprised when it happens and they usually happen at night. Just mind your business, don't get too drunk and be aware of your surroundings, it's not a war zone but it's not sesame street either.

I am a bigger guy. I spent time getting to know the barmaid. They have helped steer dancers my way and steer me away from one's with issues. Tip them well and chat them up it works.

It's not the older / bigger guys that chat them up and get them in the back for a dance, it's the ones who sit there literally forever tying the whole thing up. I agree with Puun Hound about getting to know the bar maids. But the only thing I would caution about would be to know who the bar maids are. Connie being one of them.
