I will admit I thought our uncle was behind this one, but it looks to be a credit card scam.

If she had plenty of cash, why couldn't she just walk to the store and get a RELOAD card herself? I did continue texting her after she texted again, I got her to send me a couple of pics showing a bit more, who knows, the pics may not even be her now that I think about it. Stay away from this one.

They'll send you to a random hotel and act like they're upstairs in a room and once you get there they ask you for the card number and once you give it up, you're toast. Never had it happen to me but have heard about it quite a bit and I am pretty sure I've read about it on here when one of the guys posted he was messing with the girl acting like he actually bought the card but was simply leading her on because he knew it was a scam. Apparently he eventually told her he knew what's what and then she sent pics back to him of the piles of cash from where she had got so many people.

I know Halle James asks for an advance deposit via MoneyPak before booking, and that's kept me away. I can't tell if I'm too lazy to figure that out or skeptical about advance payments, but, either way, I haven't booked with her.

She did send me a pic and the tats did match with her pics on BP. I would love to meet up with her but she seems fishy. She says she is from Aspen and I'm assuming that would be Colorado? The 615 area code does not include the Aspen area so I guess she is a no go for me IMHO.
I also did get a pic of the reload card and a pic of 4 $100 bills also. How could she scam a person if you paid cash for the reload card and didn't give it to her until the end of the session? Anybody got any clues?

It is to ensure that she doesn't get stuck with travel expenses should you no-show. But we are usually talking $1k-plus for that kind of arrangement, a different league from the Backpage regulars.
I have on occasion made small advance payments to help out some ATF's, but that was after months of familiarity and trust-building.
While I doubt Halle James intends to look like a scammer, I would suggest that she review Provider Practices 101 to acquaint herself with the way this process typically works.
