They closed for a couple of years after an industrial accident damaged the street, and I think, the building. They were previously known as a clip joint where busloads of Asian tourists were brought in to be fleeced. Dances were low- to non-existent mileage, but the dancers back in the day were pretty. Reports after it re-opened were that it hadn't changed, and was still a low-mileage club. That was a year or two ago. They advertise as if mileage is higher now, but it's doubtful. The club is actually in Los Angeles, on the Glendale border. Due to a weird border arrangement, you drive on Glendale streets to get there, but once you cross the railroad tracks, you are actually in LA. The City of Glendale has always hated the club being there, and I've heard rumors that they pressure the club somehow to keep mileage down. That may be apocryphal, but it's what I've heard.

I want to report on a trip I took out to LA a few months back. I was attending an event near the airport, so I didn't want to head out to COI to try Synn and Rhino. I did visit 4 Play and BE. Most of the reviews concerning those two clubs say they're low mileage. While that's true for the most part, I will say that you can get lucky and YMMV. During the day, there were fewer girls and a more laid back atmosphere. I visited BE on Sunday afternoon. Not going to go into drink or layout details, mostly going to talk about the dancers. I apologize if any of my details regarding dance options are off, it's been over 2 months since my visit.

Friday Day Visit:
