OK so yesterday I felt brave and decided to TOFTT. I had seen this ad for a new Latina in the Elgin area. She first posted a few weeks ago and the ad appeared again yesterday. I should also mention that the person I was texting had already given me the hotel and general area (near I-90 and Route 25). So anyways, she calls me and sounds lovely on the phone. I have to also ad I LOVE Latinas and after hearing her voice I was on my way. I reach the hotel and then here comes the next 'I'm not sure about this' sign. The hotel name I was given (Days Inn) was not the sign that was posted. Was still called Lexington Hotel. So I park my car (backing in the space in case I need to make a quick getaway) and text her that I have arrived. Next sign there was something fishy. Her response was to ask what car I was in. So thinking that maybe she wanted to make sure I was legit, I told her the make and model. A few moments later, this young Latino comes walking towards my truck. Now if you are like me, this was extremely strange, but still thinking with the little head, I decide to entertain this conversation with who was surely this girl's 'manager. ' So he says are you the guy we were talking to and as he asks me this he pulls his cellphone out and shows me the picture of the girl I was hoping to see (in fact it was a different one from those posted). He even shows me a photo of another smoking hot Latina. So I'm like yes she is definitely the one I wish to see. Well by this time an older couple had just checked in and actually parked a few cars from where I was parked. So the 'manager' was like lets walk into the hotel so as to not attract attention to us. I agree and we walk into the hotel via a side door. So now here is where things really got crazy. He is like well she is waiting upstairs so if I am ready, he will give me the room number. Of course I reply yes I am ready. So now he starts acting weird, asking me if I am LEO and how nervous he is about getting into any trouble. I assure him I am not but I also explain to him that this was not my first rodeo either. So then he says ok well let me get the donation and I will tell you where to go. Now this is where I put my foot down. I politely explain to him there is no way in HE# that I am giving him the donation first. I said how about I meet the lady and give it to her once I confirm she is who I came to see. He starts making some excuses, saying that he doesn't trust her with the $$$ and that he was in a hurry to leave. So again I explain to him that either I meet her first and pass the donation on to her or this is a deal breaker. He holds his ground, so I tell him thanks but no thanks and leave. Now I will tell you that I am a larger man (6'2' 250lbs) so the last thing I was worried about was him jumping me. But it was very clear to me that this was a total scam. So I simply drove off, pissed because I had taken one of my little blue friends, and immediately started surfing for a replacement via my cell. Lucky for me little Moma was available and she helped make a bad night into an extremely good one.

Guys be careful out there. Newbie scam artists, fake photos, Leo. A lot to deal with while trying to enjoy the hobby. The ad link is listed below.
