We are entering election season. In Orlando (Orange county+Osceola county) this year the current States Attorney "Lawson Lamar" will duke it out with "Jeff Ashton" of the CASEY ANTHONY case debacle for the States Attorneys position.
Many on here probably don't know that the States Attorneys office is a prime driver of the train in terms of what types of cases the police should pursue, Why? Because they are politically connected and motivated while LE is civil service and appointed positions except for the Sheriff himself, most think that LE runs around and just arrests people "Willy Nilly" well not quite.
My point to members is to be extremely cautious in your words and actions in the coming months because I have a feeling this States Attorney's election will get very dirty between Jeff Ashton (a former employee of Lamar's office) and Lawson Lamar. (Lamar is a good ol' boy and been in office to damn long)
In which case Lamar will be looking for lots of publicity on how "Tough on crime" he is! They will be looking for the crimes that get lots of publicity such as Prostitution, Drugs, Pill Mill Doctors, Drunk driving with injuries, in other words crimes that the average person thinks are the scourge of society.
Personally I will stick with known safe providers without drug issues, I know this limits the chase and I wouldn't presume to tell others what to do but that's what I will be doing.
