As I walked down the busy sidewalk, knowing I was late for an important meeting, my eye fell upon one of those unfortunate, homeless vagabonds that are found in every city these days. Some people turned to stare. Others quickly looked away as if the sight would somehow contaminate them.
Recalling some long ago Minister who made an admonition to 'care for the sick, feed the hungry and clothe the naked,' I was moved by some powerful inner urge to reach out to this unfortunate person.
Wearing what can only be described as rags, carrying every worldly possession in two plastic bags, my heart was touched by this person's condition.
Yes, where some people saw only rags, I saw a hidden beauty.

From what I have been led to beleive from American History class only 3 of the gentlemen pictured here were presidents. One was both a president and a war hero. Hopefully there will only be pictures of three presidents here on Janury 21 next year.

They were entirely wrong and entirely stupid. But, as a result, the aide had to leave the administration in order to maintain harmony, and the new mayor was deprived of a competent individual - all due to political correctness, ignorance, and folks who "knew it when dey seen it."[/Color]
After seeing many comical, some hilarious posts by ajohn, I cannot believe the grief he's been getting, for what he felt was innocent humor.
My biggest fear is not the color of the man's skin, but the color of his politics.
The belief by many of his beautifully crafted oratory. Mostly meaningless, skillfully devoid of any easily arguable counter points.
It's easy to say that you will "guarantee every child a quality education", or that you will "make the insurance companies accountable", and to make them insure people with previous medical conditions. Or, take away tax incentives for companies that export jobs.
The problem with these promises are too many to list, but, unless we've just elected a King, who can make the free market act against it's own best interest, or a dictator who will seize control of all the thousands of School systems across the country, drag the kids in from the streets, and put a gun to the heads of the millions of parents who show no interest in teaching their children their future resides in themselves, no amount of "change" will mean sh**t. Just my 2.5 cents.
Oh, by the way I'm not racist, but I fear that any critizing of BO will result in those charges being thrown about quite carelessly.
